I had 20 bin downswing with ~80k brake even hands at nl5 and I'm EV 5bb/100 winner(~130k sample). Keep going its just a matter of time when your luck turns around!:f_drink:

Oon minäkin muuten suomesta, näköjään en ole ainut täällä =)

What a fantastically positive post :) (Makes a nice change :P)

Don't go overboard with the positivity - in the same way that downswings are a normal part of poker, so are upswings .... save some of the positivity you currently feel, for the inevitable time when a downswing comes along again....

And congrats on the exam results - that's FAR more important than this weeks poker update :)

Yea. I was doing really really great 15k hands ago. Last 15k hand have been rough but it is pretty standard. My NL5 sample is very small, atm 25k hands. It dropped from 30bb/100 winrate to 1bb/100 in 10k hands :)) But it will go up again, that is for sure..

Joo on täällä muutama muukin :)

@8runo

I'll save some :f_grin:

It is true that one should not be too upset about downswings but not too exited about upswings either. That is a good advice :)

I just remembered that maybe I should post a goal update..

Studying is going well so far.. I have exam on Thursday. Let's see how it goes.
I couldn't get 5bb/100 winrate in 10k hands.. I had some bad run and made couple of mistakes. I have now played 11k hands this month with a winrate of 0.8bb/100. I'm happy if I can make it to profit at the end of the month.

I just had a great session.. A lot of fish and I had good cards. 18$ in 300 hands, means over 100bb/100 :)

Now, that's what I call a winrate :f_drink:

Good luck at the tables dude! :f_thumbsup:

Hi Lassi!

I came here for a look after our discussions on 3 bets :) Your red line graph is frigging amazing. Like. What the heck amazing at micros.

I know this might not be welcome and I want to super stress I offer this up with only the best of intentions - is your focus on red line play in the micros costing you some winrate down here? I think you will go on to become a profitable player at NL100+ - which is something I have never achieved - but perhaps something to consider. I think most profitable graphs down here have weak to terrible red lines and amazing blue lines. Of course, those of us suffering this affliction find themselves pounded down badly at NL50 (where I have personally capped out at five times now).

I could be the player the red line rampage series was written about with my ++++ blue and -- red graph. I love that you can even be profitable at 5 with a break even red. That is actually EPIC.

Yea I know that my red line looks pretty great but I have much lower blue line. I have discussed about those earlier in my blog and I'm working on fixing my game -> Blue line up and try to keep red line up too. Thanks for your post and good luck to the tables :f_thumbsup:

Alright, another week has passed. I had a lot of other things to do. I had to study a lot (and party a lot). My volume was kind of weak but I'm super happy with my results.

Week 17
Hands 816
Profit +$54,91 (includes 20$ rakeback)
Bankroll $288,79

I'm gonna play more hands next week. Lets see if I can keep my winrate at almost 100/100

Hmmh, frustraging :f_biggrin: I had a terrible session and lost 8 buy-ins in a very short time. I just felt like I ran very bad and lost huge pots mostly because someone slowplayed me :(

Well, last week I ran super awesome so I guess this compensates it. I'm not tilting, not very sad. Have to grind it back tomorrow. Today I'm not gonna play anymore because I feel like I might not be 100% awake.

Sounding like you've made huge progress :)

Yea, I guess so. :)

Now that I do not tilt so much I can start to concentrate on my river call efficiency. For some reason my SB winrate is also too low. I have watched blind play videos and I think I'm doing it right but for some reason I do not see the results. I believe I'm defending and stealing enough.

Now that I play regular tables my volume is much lower so I have to be patient. It might take months to see any reliable results..

Again low volume. Had one big loosing session and 3 quite profitable ones :)

Week 18
Hands 901
Profit $-16.06
Bankroll $272.73

This week was pretty standard. Lost a bit, not too much. For some reason I haven't felt so sharp this week. My head is not 100% in the game. I hope I'm able to concentrate better next week. My next weeks objective is to focus on river call spots because my river call efficiency looks a bit low.

Last 10k hands I have been playing break-even, bouncing up and down. I have been 8 buy-ins up and 4 buy-ins down. Now I'm 1bin up. My red-line keeps on rocking but blue line is not as good as it should be. I think by fixing my river call efficiency my blue line gets better.

Week 19
Hands 1804
Profit -$17,73
Bankroll $255,00

Blah.. Not so good start for this week. Lost 3 buy-ins and now my winrate at NL5 is negative.. I can grind those losses back but I don't know whats up with me. I'm just not concentrating properly. I have to start doing some kind of warmup.

I've noticed a couple of twitch streamers I watch do warm-ups.

Courtiebee (who at the time played $100 spins) started her sessions by playing raindrops, then playing a $30 and a $60 spin before setting in to the $100 spins.

Can't remember who or what, but there was another streamer who used to do some completely non poker related, but quick and mental dexterity, game at the start of their session.

EDIT Right on cue - courtiebee has just gone live with a game of Raindrops......

Sorry I forgot to reply to your post :/ Looks interesting. Maybe I'll give it a try. I was thinking more of a mental warm-up, meditating and getting focused etc.. :)

I lost last week but I believe I played pretty good still. I have tried the new SnowieApp. It gives me nice feedback and I like it but it is a bit too expensive for me. :(

Week 20
Hands 2045
Profit -$25,83
Bankroll $229,17

Hey man, I do warm-up sessions as well. It doesn't need to take more than a few minutes. I do these things:

Warming up improvements
- Looking to my flaws
- Injecting logic (especially when entering ‘big pots’)
- Don’t get distracted (phone, Internet, etc.)
- Remember my good thing: I feel the tilt only for a short time! Next day it’s over already 

Maybe you can do something with it as well :)

Cheers,
Hesticus:f_thumbsup:
