Since I do not have backdoor FD I do not cbet. One guy said he likes to cbet, cause we still fold part of his range like underpairs.

Maybe its close between cbet and check. I do not want to have high cbet frequecy because regs will exploit.

Turn might be call, but again - I see very often that they have some pair when I call in such spot so this time I folded. The difference is that the board is paired, so it might be call, cause 9 is an out for as too vs weak PP. So we might have equity.

For me this is a std cbet.
The board is dry and we are ip w overcards.
We can easily cbet and then have turn and river for free.

This board is not dry. Even random cards may find a reason to call here.

Well this board is not wet either. I would cbet this flop, especially because what nitrol said, random cards may find a reason to call. We most likely have the best hand with our A high and our cbet will also have great fold equity. It is harder to realize our equity when we hit our ace so I bet here.

You can check back if you want to, but that requires a plan. It requires a thought out range for doing it at a plan for what to do on turn. Until you have that, feel free to c-bet flop. It is profitable.

I don't mind a check back, but it can't be to simply fold the turn.

I probably cbet here because of the backdoor straight draw and to get value from QJ/T9/76s etc, plus we can fold out a hand like 55 which is a great result, but if I'm checking back it's to call that turn bet with what is likely the best hand.

...

This is exactly what I mean with "having a plan". There is a big chance that he stole the pot that it was yours to steal.

I think we rarely have turn or river for free, unless he has a pair and wants to see showdown. He does not call with nothing. If he calls, he calls with pair or with draw. And with draw he bluffs.

Equity Win Tie
MP2 43.81% 43.22% 0.59% AdJc
CO 56.19% 55.60% 0.59% TT-22, QTs+, JTs, KsQs, AsJs, KsJs, AsTs, KsTs, QTo+

Yea, I guess we have to call turn. THis is not complete air, but he might also bet some air. And he might check river and we can win with A high or hit overcard.

But also he can bluff river. Because we really have very weak hand if we do not bet the flop on such board. If we have smth, we want to protect the equity. So it might be a problem.

But players might not be so agro to double barrel turn and river both. If they do, then maybe I can check flop with AA or QQ and bluffcatch so they will not be able to barrel all the time.

Tried to put him on ranges what he calls preflop and what folds to cbet:

calls preflop 123 combos:
TT-22,AJs-ATs,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,KTo+,QTo+

after he folds his range contains 69 combos
TT-66,AJs-ATs,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,QTo+

So we have 44% fold equity. VS calling range we have some equity also, so it is probably good cbet.

I think u didnt understood the line of the hand when I said that. In fact, most of the time we ll have turn and river for free when we cbet.
The most common to happen after villain calling flop is checking turn... (either for x/r, x/c, x/f). Them, u just need to check back once.
U see the turn when villain calls, and the river when he checks turn to u.

Mmm it is very villain dependent. Cannot make such generalisations.

Its well known for many here that donking turn is not a great play... so this is the most common line to happen after a cbet in position.

hmm, actually thats true, he will not donk turn, so we will see river card. And we saw all cards, so we have used all our equity. That is good.

Probably when writing I was thinkoing not about this hand , but in general ,when we are OOP, then we cbet, he calls we check - he bets.

So maybe IP its a cbet ,but OOP its not?

Float flop & donk turn is actually a pretty profitable line against regs who c-bet a lot in the micros.

Not that it needs to be re-said, but I love the conclusion the thread has come to.

When in doubt but in position, cbet. When in doubt and out of position, don't.

If they stop betting and fold much on turn , yes.

I guess its good when we are OOP - so they cannot bet turn first :) and they think - oh, this is not standard, he hit smth and does not want to miss value :)

until they take a note on you. Then you have to also do that with some strong hands, otherwise easily exploitable. But at this limit at zoom they might not exploit I guess :)

Yes we should try to addapt if villain starts playing back.
Even on Zoom you can have a nice sample on some villains.

I think being in doubt its not the best way to define if a cbet is good or not. But surely a cbet is much better IP than OOP.

U really should addapt when they notice that u are exploiting them w these donks.
For me, the moment that it really has to happen is when a reg villain get to showdown w a below average hand... so u have the proof that he is adapting and u can re-adapt.
