That hand hurt! Just when a finally got over the $80 profit mark (since I started playing 5440 hands ago)!! I won $60 pretty quickly during my first 2weeks (2000 hands) but since then I only managed to win $20 over 3440 hands. I thought I finally broke loose when I hit a full house on the flop and won an entire buy-in just to lose it a few minutes later to a ****** 4-9!!

its an unlucky hand i guess, probably would have bet the turn to see where you were at, if he had re-raises prabably a fold. With his stats he is calling anything so 94 is deffinately in his range. Also you flopped to piar not a full house

An unlucky hand never the less, but thats poker!

hmm.... dont kill me but he played it right...

first- he had position
second - suited cards
third - many limpers= incredible good pot odds (pot 1,4$ and he need to call 30c?)
4th- if he hit (as he das) he will probably take yours whole stack..

im not cash game player but with those facts i will probably call with any suited conectors,pairts,Ax suited etc.. maybe 75% of hands...

yes 94s is bulshit hand but dont forget Doyle Brunson T2 ... maybe it is his favorite cards who knows

it is not wsop final table just nl10? so you can expect everything.. belive me

Thanks to the Gold members who replied and gave constructive feedback.

I can see your point when you say that he played it right. I also understand that my all-in raise on the turn was over the top and that I should have been more cautious.

Ater his bet on the Turn, I should have realised that I was probably behind and either fold or call and see what the river brought.

I was ready to lose to TT (though unlikely since he tried to only limp in) or even AT but not to 4-9.

Just another lesson on my way to poker riches.

1. raise more pf, like 0.70 (that will also help not getting called from 94..)

2. BU looks pretty solid, don't see a reason to go broke with top pair.

as played, i would bet turn, no more than 2.50. either you are ahead of a smaller ace, in which case you you don't want a huge pot. or you are way behind AT, 4x, and thus fold to a shove.

You need to raise more preflop. Preferably 4BB+limpers = $0.60 at the very least, if you want to protect your queens.

As played, you have an overpair plus a gutshot on the flop (and for anyone with an OESD with a ten, you have two of his outs blocked), so raise MP1's all-in more aggresively to isolate him. $1.20 is definitely not enough.
