Hey Guys,
In this hand I played vs. an unknown player. His preflop 3bet-sizing and the fact he just played one table at that time led me to believe he's a fish.
His preflop-3betting-range can be anything: From premium holdings to suited connectors or pocket pairs that just want to build a pot in case they hit.
Postflop I think it's cool to float one with overs and a BDFD and bluff him out of the pot on later streets. AK/AQ are no unlikely holdings.
As the hand played out I perceived him on the turn to be bluffing enough to make this call. The rivercard looks a bit nasty, but it polarizes his range extremely. He must have something like 9Ts, 56s, or 55 to be playing like this. The thing is, his overshove makes me think too, that a large portion of his overpairs (if not all) are removed from his range (--> he'd probably more cautiously with those, even a fish should see there's a straight possible). Mathematically: We are getting 1,82:1 on his shove (36% bluffs needed for a correct call).
It's probably really close but I decided to call because he's very polarized here.
What's your pick on my play, and do you see any flaws in my logic?
