Poker Stars allowed me to link up my account after I created it. Just email them and ask them to link the account and they will.

Helping my fellow PS inhabitants at the expense of possibly tougher competition seems like the moral thing to do.

I linked up the already created account awhile ago, so I don't remember, right now at least, every detailed step that it took. So I am not going to attempt to write it out. But it can be done, as that is the sight where I mostly play. I will check this thread if anyone has comments or questions while they get this done or you can message my blog:

I did mine at the beginning of August, so if you or anyone mailed them a month or two ago, then they may no longer do it. But at the same time, I would ask why and keep pressing. It has been my experience that they send responses specific to any concerns you write in an email, not just cookie-cutter responses. So if you mail them and ask them why, they will probably tell you.

Also, before I requested the link, I asked them to terminate my account. They asked why and I told them it was so I could create a new one to link up to PS, because it was pointless for me to continue playing anywhere without it. So they obliged.

I would be curious as to why they would not do this, because even though they get less percentage of the rake, they get none if those same people don't play there at all.

It makes so much sense for pokerstars to allow ps.com members to link their accounts. the rake alone is worth thousands easily.

many agree pokerstars has the best software out there. I suggest a bunch of us send them a message thanking them for supporting pokerstrategy.com (it couldn't hurt?)

I'd even make a deposit with a pokerstrategy.com code with no bonus to do it. Fortunately I'm tracked already but still!

There're many and many SNs and SNEs and simply PokerStars don't like the idea of paying X0% of their rake to PokerStrategy what could be unbelieveable amount of money every month... They think it wouldn't be profitable for them // question is whether they're right or not  //

You can be sure PS.de did a lot so far to find some solution, but problem is with Stars apparently. They think they don't need to allow retracking as they know they're the best, have the best software and have the most active tables, so a lot of us will play there either... Obviously, they're right :(

If thats true, ( i don't believe it but...(otherwise it wouldn't be profitable to do any affiliate business, as it can only be more profitable for them considering the period in which user had been untracked)) that they only lose $ with retracking, whats the big deal, its only the matter of small number of us (compared to the number of users pokerstrategy.com brings to them every day).
But okay I guess they have to draw the line somewhere or sometime...

Not really.. they don't care paying rakeback for new players lifetime, but I said it's not profitable (maybe so, maybe not) for them to retrack old accounts because they would lose *** amount of money this way. There're thousands high volume and/or mid+ stakes players (mainly on German forums ofc) that play there even they're not tracked simply because PS is the best site for them and they forsake some of the benefits they can get from here (for many of them it's mainly about points in top250)...

I'm not saying it shouldn't be resolved somehow, I just don't believe it will be possible ever according to what I've heard about PokerStars' attitude so far :(

There were few initiatives in german forums in the past and all are/were unsuccessful, so I can't see the reason to start something here // we don't have so many active members in forums like Germans who are untracked @ Stars ;)

just think about all the players that play on pokerstars and that have no clue about pokerstrategy. They could all come here and get signed up and get some reward, etc.

I can understand why pokerstars doesnt want to retrack accounts, yes they will lose alot more than they will gain, alot.

I emailed them yesterday asking if they could retrack my account and they said no. However i just realised the importance of this issue because soon i will back down to bronze star, have no more articles to read and not have a chance to win in the monthly top250. I really dont want to play ring games on FT as the rakeback is out of wack. Stars software is just too good and there VIP and rake is fair and rewarding.

I believe if PS and Stars come to an agreement like say - All players who have an indie Stars account and signed up to PS before dd/mm/yy may retrack or alternatively all players who wish to retrack account cannot participate in the top250 (which doesnt matter anyway because Stars VIP is very similar).

I dont know just throwing some suggestions that Stars could agree with. I believe something will happen soon. Aslong as PS keep us filled in and dont give up negotiations anything is possible.

Hi crat79;
no, there's no way to track your existing account to PokerStrategy atm..

Spammer! :P

On topic...
I'm on Stars too and my account is not linked either.
I made more than 700$ in rake in a month while playing on 0.5/1. And there are thousands of similar players like me, so I understand Stars... Why the hell would they pay % from this rake? They would be nuts! :)
