I've been checking my preflop ranges today and the goal of this session was to try different lines sb vs btn & bb vs btn. I know this is a standard 3-bet but I was just trying things out. Anyways, we get squeezed and we have no idea how wide BB's sqz-range is. If he's a good reg, pretty wide I guess. We should probably bet turn, but this way he'll probably be stabbing his weaker range. What's our plan on the river? Shove? b/c small? x/c? I ended up shoving to get max-value from 99-JJ. That might just be the worst line to take. We're only behind against AA and Kx though.

Look, even when trying things out, when facing a BU open, you should 3 bet preflop.
How about raising the squeeze pre?

I agree ofc about 3-betting. Only 30 hands but villain is 12/9. I know you're gonna say we can 4b/call pre because we're LP but I'm not comfortable stacking off here with QQ against a tight unknow.

This is absolutely a 3bet pre.

As played: Be consistent and check river. Then decide based on bet size.

I know and that's what I said. I had my own reasons but they don't justify not 3-betting.

Call up to 2/3 bet?

Something like that. Would a Kx (say AK) or AA check back on the flop? Maybe, but I am willing to call 2/3 to find out.

This was indeed a 3Bet pre. As played, x/c river

He wouldn't check flop with Kx or AA. JJ and TT are more likely his hand. Check call the river is best action as far as I know
