Ah well, that sucks. I don't know if JT or 98 can call a 3rd barrell here, but if we check behind we can let villain bet his KQ and maybe some Ax diamonds.. The latter will happen less often but sometimes he can do this.
I think to x/call here a size of maximum 1/2 pot, if he jams we can fold and wait to have more info, all imho

hmmm i dont know.. i dont really give villain a set or 2 pair here because i would reraise those on the flop probably since there are alot of cards that i dont wanna see on the turn, any 9 , Q, A... and since he seems to be a regular i just dont think he has sets or a full house here. so we should still be ahead here or split. thats why i think bet / call is okay. What do the others think?

It's really dangerous to exclude full houses from his range in this spot. It's not good to think in the "I'd to this so villain will do the same" way. He can slowplay a lot on this board, yes he fears like 12 cards coming out but he can make profit by letting us bet again OTT (we will do this a lot because our range from MP hits this board very well). Bet/calling isolates us against a range that crushes our straight imho

I agree with x/c. He can bet with KQ,AK or Q9s. But a 1/2 bet otr can also be good. I cannot see them folding AK,KQ-s otr at this limit

I think check call is good. We let him bluff or bet his AK,KQ. Betting is fine also but I think we would have to fold to a raise.

why would you x/c river? What hands bet that we beat? There will be just 4 combos of KQ and a ton of AQ, KJ, KT, TT..

AQ will raise the turn.
KJ,KT, TT will raise the flop.

So if KJ, KT, TT raise otf, why would you x/c otr in the spot that OP posted instead of betting yourself? If you take out those hands from opponent' range we have the nuts here, haven't we?

To give him the rope to bet himself.

Mostly to induce bluffs.

Exactly. We should not narrow his range.

Can you give some examples of hands villain will bluff with on the river? I do not see any.

I'm bet/folding this river.

Missed backdoor flush, missed straight draw.. And there is some worse hands that could be betting that are not complete bluffs. By checking here we don't rep Kx so he might bet his trips. Or he might bet some Jx.

Which missed draws? I just can't think of any hand villain would bluff on the river with.

There is missed FD, Qx may bluff as they miss the straight... Kx may decide he has the nuts here...
