After the Twitch session we are having fun with some geography games and such, so I present to you... #FunWithFlags with #MinRaiseMafia - Almost as fun as with Sheldon ♦
Another week, another chance for completing the challenge and again couldn't close it At some point I was 80-90$ away from the finish line. And you know what 90$ means in $1/$2 LHE? It means NOTHING. 5 minutes of play. Well... I'm sure I'll be able to do it next time, right? But enough of this, I'll post stats and graph and then show you what's really important. Booze Trip!
Here are some pictures from my Booze trip over the weekend. This is the second one that I did with my friends, almost the same program as last year, but still pretty epic!
First a visit to gastro pub for beers and food.
I had a bambi burger.
And a chocolate bomb.
Then we paid a visit to a microbrewery. We had a tour last year, didn't need it this time. Just had few beers + bought a whole trolley of beer for home.
And this was the main event. "Whiskey shop" as we call it. Fancy food and sparkling wine, wine, whiskey, gin, rum, tequila, liqueur, ... You name it!
It's week 50 already. So I am actually closing to 1 year doing this challenge, lol. I actually learned a lot during the whole process. Lot's of players are coaching microstakes players, when they haven't played those stakes for years. Now that I've actually dabbled with micros, I think I have much more to give and I already started giving out different advices than I did 50 weeks ago.
So let's see the stats... Profitable week once again. Was really close of finishing for the millionth time, but I still have some work to do
In other news... I was doing #MinRaiseMafiaDoesTournaments on Saturday again. This time I couldn't defend my $82 Weekly LHE win, because tourney was canceled I did play $27 Daily one and cashed in at 3rd place. I like these tournaments, because they are so soft and a good practice for COOP series. No idea what my actually ROI is, tho. But yeah I'll definitely continue with playing tournaments on Saturdays.
Challenge... DONE.
After 51 weeks, 126 sessions and 124k hands, $20 to $1000 Challenge is finally over. Here's the last hand and celebration:
During the last session, I needed $36,02 to hit $1000 mark and I was close 5 times, but couldn't finish it. These last two hours seemed like a copy/paste from the whole challenge. One time I needed only 88c, but couldn't steal the blinds. 2 times it was the river that destroyed me. And then finally AA came and even though I didn't feel confident, I managed to win a hand and challenge was done.
So first things first, here are results of the last week.
And this is graph with all the rakeback included ($1760).
What to say? I think I learned a lot from playing these micros. At the start it went waaay to good and after that, it went a little too poorly Even though it took so long, I still had fun, specially on livestreams. I'm glad I had so many supporters on Twitch, who actually demand more! I'll probably do another challenge from $1.000 to $10.000 this time, but give me a week or so to res a bit

Well done with receiving your goal
It would be nice to see how long it will take when you will reach the 10k.
Good luck with it
Let's hope its going to be less than 126 days. 125 will do!

Congratulations, Luka!
Can you show detailed stats from this challenge and share your thougts about playng micros? Differences from middle (high) stakes?
Good luck!
Will do, but there's nothing to special about it.
Difference between micros and small/middle stakes is pretty big one. Lots of loose and passive players in micros and regs are pretty tight. So playing LAGTAG-ish game should crush guys there. First stake that seems a little bit harder is 0,5/1. Two or three regs there who know how to play poker and could/should've move up I think. The problem with 1/2 is that some regs from higher limit play these as well, specially when there are no good games higher (2/4, 3/6). But from what I've seen in the last 126 sessions here, games are most definitely beatable. Lots of players doing weird stuff

Congrats also from my side! Now go for the 10k :)... or 100k...
LET'S DO THIS GUYS! La challenge numero due! The second challenge! #2!
For the first one I needed 126 days, how many days for the second one? Start placing your bets guys!
Oh, should've told you what kinda challenge am I doing this time, right? Going from $1760 to $10000. "Why 1760, Luka", you ask? "Why would he choose such a random number?", you wonder?
Well, because it's not a random number. $1760,00 is exactly were I finished my first Get Rich or Die Tryin' challenge so I decided that I'll continue where we basically left of. Trying to run this bankroll to 5 figures. (and this way we have room for #3 :f_ugly::f_ugly:)
So what am I including to results this time? Kind of a everything, to be honest. Money won at the tables, starscoins, promos rewards that we finish while playing and last but not least tournaments. The only rule is that it has to be Limit Hold'em of course!
Because it's going to be kinda hard tracking this, due to the fact that I'm also playing these games/stakes during my own grinding hours, only sessions that I do while streaming on Twitch counts towards this challenge. I expect at least 3 sessions per week. Two of them being cash games and one day of MTTs. Should be fun and more exciting than first challenge, if nothing else a little bit more money involved this time and also expanding to MTTs, so definitely follow #MinRaiseMafia on Twitch! http://www.twitch.tv/coreysteel111 <
