Still grinding but too excited not to share what happened a moment ago!

120x baby!!!
Crushed the whole game and the guy who played in HU vs me shopped when there were 3 of us bvb with A4 on 4Tx where he x shoved and I had Tx and he got Ace on the turn. Managed to recover from that and dominate HU and win 120x!

Some reward definitely needs to happen soon

Here is the graph for 15$ limit today:

Awesome day today!
Completed morning routine and went to eat traditional Serbian food. Decided to treat myself with quality food and eat some brutal soup! After that went for coffee with my friend and then came back home. I then was doing 1 hour session with elpsycho, sweating him play 7s and going over thinking process with him. Think that went really well and am very happy to see that his session after that continued in the same fashion. Look forward to more of those for both of us! After that I played 1st session of the day and it was on 15$ limit since I made money on it last night decided to play until I hit 4 buy ins stop loss. After the session, I was teaching 1 hour and then elpsycho was sweating me on 15s. It seemed like things were going normal and then just standard variance stuff, not surviving flips (loosing most of them) and in getting just set up with 3 outer shoves/calls or post flop making right play but opponents getting lucky. After that we checked the graph and I actually went from 160$ or more profit into -30$ or so! So very standard swing on 70ish games. I then decided to continue grinding but do 3 tabling 7s and 1 tabling 15s since I had 2 more buy ins stop loss there. While I was doing that, I got 120x multiplier on 7s!!! It felt awesome and from very 1st hand I took control and dominated the whole tournament until the end, very happy with how I played it. Cool thing is that I was still 4 tabling while I had 120x game going :) While in HU for 120x I finished 1 of the 4 tables and didn't open another one (until I finished the HU for 120x). Everything went as planed and then took a deserved break to process what just happened. After that decided to play some more 15s and got more brutally owned with variance there which you can see in the graphs posted above.
Overall awesome day at the tables with both focus, note taking, adjusting and very importantly volume! I believe I played close to 7 hours today which is brutal!

I am ahead of the pace for hours grinded and in the end of the month I will post combined graph that includes 15s as well for this month.
As things stand right now, I have about 260 buy ins for 7s. That may be a bit too much for this limit with my expected ROI and game plan so I will consider to take those 60 buy ins (420$) and use them for stop loss for 15s in the meanwhile as my game seems to be profitable for that limit as well (it is more difficult but definitely beatable with 4%+ ROI pre RB).

Tomorrow quite busy day ahead of me!
I am going to teach 3 lessons (7-8pm, 9-10pm, 10:20-11pm) and after that I am meeting with a girl at my place. Before that during the day I plan to complete morning routine with push ups, go for coffee with my friend and also go pay internet bill as well as grind 2 to 3 sessions for the day. I will make the decision whether or not I will play 15s tomorrow during the day. It seems like a perfect way to reward myself for winning 120x on 7s :)

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

Day 13
1335/4000 games
52.02 hours grind

Here is the overall graph for today including the games after midnight:

Another fantastic day!

Woke up, completed morning routine and then spent time talking to my family and friends. Shared my joy and happiness regarding yesterday's bink. Decided to meet with my friend, went to my favorite restaurant and after that for some coffee. Good times, we spent about 5-6 hours together! After that I went home and I went to grind 1st session of the day but noticed I was not great with energy so I played almost one hour and stopped. I played very well but whole session was mostly with 2x games so ended in loss of 2 buy ins while evROI was like 20%+ and cEV over 100. After that session decided to rest for 1 hour and regenerate for teaching. I taught 2 lessons and both went great! After that meet up with a girl at my new place for 2.5 hours! After she went home I decided to grind some more games since I only had less then 30 games for the day. So I grinded a bit longer session, totally crushed and owned and as I was playing it was nice to see some multipliers starting to kick in. Result is brutal ROI both EV and running close to EV. Extremely pleased how today's grind went.

I did not play 15$ limit today for 2 reasons. 1) I already treated myself with 10 buy ins stop loss for 15$. When I was setting up challenge I mentioned if month goes well I would take 10 buy in shoots, took one and didn't work out so great (ran very bad). 2) I am looking to make as steady as possible income in Spins and 7$ are way less variable path for me where possibly I could achieve even higher hourly. If I consider that right now I have cEV 70 and past week I adjusted my game super well (and my poker knowledge/unconscious competence is clicking all the time, playing in the zone very well and B gaming solid into A game) I may very well get close if not cEV of 100 average or even higher in next several thousand games. Time will tell but with such high cEV of course winnings would be great and swings would be much smaller in comparison to say cEV 60 on 15s (4-5% ROI pre RB).
When I finish April, I will see what financial situation is going to be like. Right now it is looking really well as I am up on poker alone 1055$ in 13 days (included the shot that I played on 15s where I lost 10 buy ins!) and from teaching I am also doing really well. If by the end of month I earn another 1k on 7$ limit, I will very likely start mixing 7$ and 15$ limits with combination such as 2 tabling each or 3x7$ and 1x15$. Reason is simple. I will have then much larger bankroll to sustain swings (right now 2k, then should be 3k). I will decrease variance by playing limit which I feel I am easily beating with over 5% ROI by mixing it with 15$ limit. By mixing two limits, avg buy in goes to 11$ and with 3k roll that is more then enough to play such avg buy in, make more money, rake more and push myself to improve further to beat 15$ limit with higher then 4% ROI. Finally, with such potential mix, I can potentially make way more money from poker sooner (talking about 3k instead of 1.5k-2k months) and of course if things start to go down, I will have stop loss limit for such a mix (example from 3k roll set up 1.4k as stop loss for mix and then play 7$ limit from then on to rebuild and try again).
Anything can happen with this approach but I am already 100% sure that I can also beat 15$ limit since I played 150 games there and saw the main differences in tendencies and what I need to do to adjust vs them. I am not saying I would have 10% ROI there but 4% is definitely there with my current game plan 4 tabling. I am positive however that 7-8% pre RB ROI is also achievable but I will go more into detail about that when time comes for such discussion.
Anyways, goal is to save 12k so I am going towards that day in and day out. Let's see what happens by 1st of May with potential winnings on poker and then I will decide how to proceed. Until then I am on 7$ limit and I will move up only if I hit another bink such as 120x from last night!

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

Day 14
1482/4000 games
55.77 hours grind

Here is the overall graph for today including the games after midnight:

Lots of activities today!

Went to bed around 5-6am, woke up at 12, completed morning routine and went to meet my student at 1pm for coffee. 2 hours later I went to sort out internet bill and discuss Fiber internet option as well as cable tv (considering to take it due to some Partizan Belgrade games, Champions league as well as English Premier League!). After that meet with my dad and hanged out with him for about 2.5 hours. Told him about 120x and how everything is going, saw a huge relief on his face today which makes me happy. Came back home then, ate, played 1st session of the day (noticed that focus was not great!) meet with landlord, taught 2 hours and then grinded some more. Also, today during the day talked to my family and friends via Viber, Whatsapp and Skype!
Poker wise, today was one of the weaker days due to lower focus and energy. Sure there were dozen setups pre flop but I could have ended today's day in profit with better focus in HU. I failed to materialize on that and its important to me that I know where I made mistakes. Days like today should be kept to minimum in order to increase profit expectations and complete challenge even sooner.

Now, something really cool to reflect on. I arrived from USA back to Serbia on Sunday 13th of March at midnight. Since then (or 1 month later) through teaching and poker I have managed to make enough money to live and to be on track for my savings goal for the year. I will not post any numbers now but will just say that I have saved more then what I anticipated and that gives me great hope, drive and push to keep going. This 1st month I initially planed to use as a testing month, to get things going in both teaching and poker area. But, I really set up awesome systems for both teaching and poker and am so happy to see that things are already paying off very well. I will at the end of the month mention how much money is saved but right now I can already mention that I surpassed 1333$ which is monthly average for the challenge!

Tomorrow several things lined up. Complete morning routine, going for coffee with my friend, talking with my student over Skype to set up his 1st webcam lesson, meeting with a girl later and then getting back home and grinding 3-4 sessions.

Something also to mention is that I decided to hire house maid as well as cook. I will take out for such activity 50$ per month and have that person visit my place twice per week. Both times preparing the food for most of the day's during the week, but also one of the arrivals will be used for cleaning the place and ironing clothes etc. So I think it will be awesome deal for me long term. I need to move some more stuff into my new place before that happens since I will need those things here before I hire the person.
My energy levels are changing every day and while that is good on one side (my schedule besides teaching is very dynamic, I spend times with family, friends, hang out with girls etc) long term for challenge this will not give best results. So instead I need to sort out eating healthy part and hiring person to cook is the right way to go there. Also long term not buying things in market myself but instead having that person get healthy food and prepare it will give me way more energy and focus through out the day which should also reflect my performance both on and off the tables.
Finally, once I get that going, I am planing to have a steady sleeping cycle and pattern. Right now I usually hit bed after 3am, between 3-5:30am, which is not cool. I would actually prefer to hit the bed by 1:30am latest,, wake up by 9 or 9:30am and then complete morning routine, eat actual breakfast 1st thing, get those 5 meals in with work out and in between grind 4 hours and teach for the day.
So definitely plan to put some changes in soon and will write about it once it's all implemented, until then I will keep going as I am doing now and things will also be good as they are.

Also, its been 2 weeks since challenge started and I am very much on track with hours and 100+ games per day average. Results wise things are going great, I made post RB 1069$. If I make another 1k in next 16 days, I will then take 10 buy in shot at 15s to treat myself for awesome results. For those that follow cEV, due to today's bad day and 4-5 days of way worse play at the beginning of the challenge, my cEV is 62 on sample of 1325 games with evROI of 4.57%. Look forward to get that up way over 7% on 7$ limit over longer stretch of games (5-10k).

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

Day 15
1591/4000 games
59.33 hours grind

Graph for the day:

Spent whole day celebrating with different friends at different times the fact that I am here in Serbia for a month and did really well financially considering all the difficulties I am facing. Got home, talked over skype with elpsycho and decided to do 10 buy ins more stop loss for 15s. Reason was simple, with those additional 10 buy ins stop loss I would get to 250 buy ins for 7s which is more then enough to comfortably play them, also I feel tonight in such a great mood :) So 1st session, was up 11 buy ins in 40ish games or more. 2nd session absolute domination by some unknown opponents to me. Also had dozen setups and and just brutal card distribution (lost fh to fh, KK to AK etc). Had chance to win several 6x and one 10x, lost them all. At times it felt like these guys knew exactly what I had hehe. Never mind, it happens, its poker! Right now 5 buy ins stop loss left for 15s which I will play more tomorrow.
It felt great to spend about 9 hours with different friends today. Also got a call from my brother, he will be in town next weekend which means less poker. So looks like 3k will end up being realistic volume for April after all! Also, I will in the remaining of the month put time aside to see another girl and have fun with her - look forward to that obviously. There is also another girl that was giving me great vibe today, I will follow up on that for sure - just figuring out best strategy to take her down

Tomorrow teaching 1 lesson, plan to grind several sessions and to set up couple of more things in new place. Also, plan to talk to my friends and students over Skype and set up new lessons for next week.

Enjoy your day wherever you are!

EDIT: Updated with final graph as I added 1 more session before bed time (now 4:43am).

15s so far in April:

Expect on larger sample to get to 60 cEV easily with my current game plan. Enjoy playing that limit, more challenging compared to 7$ for sure and of course potentially much higher hourly. Now have 390$ set aside for just 15s which is 26 buy ins shoot. If I bust those 26 buy ins I will return to 7$ limit and play it until I either a) bink 120x or larger b) win 1k post RB more and then take a shoot at 15s again. I will play them tomorrow again, 4 tabling of course and hopefully get a nice upswing session or two to stay on them longer.

Graph for the day:

Very laid back day!
Woke up and felt good. Completed morning routine, chatted with my friends abroad via Whatsapp and then ate. After that went to bed and slept 4 hours or so!!! Brutal napping. I was then preparing to teach, before that watched 2.5 man 2 episodes and then taught 1 hour. Lesson went great, after which I talked with elpsycho. We were discussing if he was going to sweat me or not tonight. He went to bed and I decided to grind 1st session of the day. Before starting grind, my dad called me twice to let me know of some things that we are doing tomorrow together. I need to get up by 9:30am so I decided to only do 1 session today.
Actual grinding was one of the best sessions in my poker career. I was taking notes everywhere, color coding, knowing every moment how to adjust and readjust both 3/3 and in HU. In HU I felt in absolute control even tough opponents in certain games were sucking out a lot or simply getting rewarded post flop when they were behind. I believe that in whole session there is 1 hand where I remembered that I could have played it differently on the river. The rest of the hands through out the whole session I am extremely pleased with. Checked the graph after completing the session and saw brutal ownage which deep down as I was grinding I already felt that results will be good (10+ buy ins). So now, for the month 15s cEV is 70 or 7.17% while running at 4.03% ROI. Not bad considering that less than a month I was playing 3$ limit, planing to stay on 3$ and 7$ until June and then grind 6 months heavy 7$ limit with expectations to win 2k post RB. How quickly things changed in the month, I adjusted to the format really well and all the knowledge I have from different poker variants are clicking.
I look forward to continue my grinding as now I have close to 40 buy ins for 15s exclusively. If I drop those, no big deal, I am 100% sure that I can beat 7$ limit with more then 5% ROI easily and will be able to rebuild fast. Also, playing 15$ limit long term is much better due to much higher hourly which basically means I get to earn money for the challenge sooner and along the way actually challenge myself to play better limit and opponents and work on my game in the future. Right now on 7$ limit it took me very little time to adjust and feel total control there while 15s have better opponents in all areas of the game and that pushes me to become even better player along the way.
I am not saying I will play 15s full time for the whole challenge but I am definitely more motivated knowing that I can play and beat that limit as well. With huge BR (4.5k or 300 buy ins) I would feel very comfortable playing 15s. Right now I have 150 buy ins for 15s and with some regular swing (40-50 buy ins which can happen in a single day!) I would feel pressure and it just wouldn't be the same. So full time move to 15s will most likely happen with 200 buy ins+. In the meanwhile I will take shots and potentially do mix of 7s and 15s. Of course, I can always lower my expectations and decrease variance by playing 7s and potentially adding 1 or even 2 more tables to increase hourly even more on them.

Tomorrow I will spend morning with family which I look forward to. After that I will look into moving some more things to my new place. Afternoon and evening, I will go for 3-4 sessions. I am not going to procrastinate, grind awaits and regardless of positive results this month I need to put volume day in and day out. So tomorrow 100+ games would be ideal since I don't have any teaching scheduled.

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

EDIT: Played 1 more short session with Alex sweating. Went really well, dominated in this one also. Nice results for the day!

Quick update!
Grinded 3 sessions and there was a lot of playing back by opponents as well as setups and standard plays. I ended up in profit due to winning 3 times 6x and 2 times 4x on this sample. Overall I was getting ITM very little and today was one of those variance days supported by weaker play!

Watching NBA Playoffs now.

Update in regards to playing 15s and BR management

Right now my BR is 2770$. I have decided to play 15s exclusively until I reach 2.2k (assuming a swing might happen and bring me down to this). If that happens I will then continue to play 15s but by 2 tabling them with another 2 tables of 7s, making average buy in of 11$ and having 200 buy ins for them! If I drop from 2200$ to 1400$ so 70+ buy ins with mix dropped, I will then return to 7s and play them exclusively.
Important thing to mention is that here and there I might use BR for investing but I will talk about it more when time comes. For now it's important to me that I figured out how to use current BR most efficiently.

Finally, here is the graph on 15s so far in April:

60 cEV is certainly possible and attainable like I was saying even tough this is very low sample, from experience I can tell a lot about level of difficulty and play. Limit is very beatable.

Look forward to investing opportunities along with teaching and music. This month has potential to turn into very profitable one!

Not a very productive day!
Woke up with headache, completed morning routine, ate and then went to bed. Woke up with even greater headache and moved teaching lesson for tomorrow.
Spent time talking to elpsycho and other friends via Skype + studied some investing (2.5 hours). Grinded 1 super long session which actually lasted 2 hours.
My level and game was good but variance did its job today. I am not worried at all. Need to get that BR asap to 300+ buy ins to comfortably grind 15s with 4k games per month. Right now I have no fear about my game on this limit however I am careful about the fact that swings are brutal in this format which is why I am not stepping on it hardcore yet.

I am about to watch NBA Playoffs again, my team Boston Celtics is playing tonight and I hope they turn it around vs Hawks!

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

Just finished grinding for the day.
Nice bink - 25x on 15s!
Played 2 fish, like in 120x guy shopped in all in spot and then in HU had a massive cooler with JJ but managed to turn it and win it!

72.46 hours grind

Graph for the day:

Several games missing in today's graph. When I updated blog last night I played couple more games and lost 6+ buy ins. Now when I was figuring out what to post for the graph, forgot the exact time when those games were played! So, for the day I am in some slight profit I would assume. Never mind, end of month graph will show all the game regardless of today's graph not being 100% accurate.
Much better health situation today, way less headache and I know why that is. While in USA I was using my laptop which has smaller screen. Since I came back to Serbia and restarted my poker career, I have been using 22 inch monitor. That difference causes headaches no doubt for me. I didn't do that for 6-7 months and now day in and day out 5+ hours a day in front of such monitor - not good for me. Also, my time management is nowhere where I want it to be for the past week. Basically since I hit that 120x I had a lot of fun with friends and girls, my sleeping pattern still sucks and I am not eating right. So I very much look forward paying cleaning and cook lady to come in and start doing the work for me in those areas. Also NBA playoffs haven't really helped me. I love NBA and I want to watch it all so staying up until 5am or so doesn't help my time management.
Poker wise, things are moving in the direction I am expecting. In future once I get 300+ buy ins for 15s I will play them exclusively. Today I reached point when I started mixing 7s with 15s but now I have more $ in the bankroll and can play 15s exclusively again.
Either way, plan to do 1k more games by the end of this month, get to 3k and hopefully earn some more money through spins + expecting return on investments a bit also. cEV is 57 on 696 games on 15s evROI 4.78% and now thanks to the bink running at 5.89%.

NBA Playoffs about to start for tonight, planing to watch Miami and then Lebron with Cavs!

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

Some reflection regarding challenge so far

So far things have been going great. This was initially planed to be test month in terms of profit but I made over 2k already just from poker alone. Turning point was winning 120x on 7s which boosted my BR and allowed me to play 15s further on.
What I discovered on 15s was that my game plan is solid enough to earn me long term 4-5% ROI pre RB without any working on the game! This is huge relief because I watch/listen to Netflix, my favorite tv shows, podcasts, music in the background as I am 4 tabling this limit. This then leads to about 1$ per game post RB which brings up following simple math - To make 12k$ I need to play 12k 15s with current game plan. Since my BR is now 200 buy ins for 15s I will continue to play them steady in this as well as following month (if variance doesn't cause me to drop 100 buy ins!). For next month plan is to grind 125 hours which brings 4k games which with regular expectations should bring me around 4k post RB. If things go according to plan this month and my expectations prove to be 100% accurate it would then take me total of 3 months more to grind 15s with 4k games to complete the challenge!
This revelation is huge relief for me because of several reasons:
- I need to invest less time then initially planed and my hourly is much higher then initially planed
- I can dedicate to just grinding with zero investment in studying outside of tables
- I would potentially then have time to prepare my CV and work for full time application for teaching job in Boston USA which is due by September (something that I am considering and is in my mind)
- I will have rest of the year to make and save money for other important life projects
- I will be able once the goal is reached within 3 months from May to 1st of August to then change pace

So having all this in mind it then takes me to following math for the rest of the year. Assuming I will have 30k 15s grinded, it should give me 30k$ post RB and even more (due to SN instead of Platinum which I have now). 12k would then go for apartment mortgage and 18k would be used to continue playing 15s and investing.

This week I already started investing money even with 2770$ BR. After 5 days or so I am at 5% ROI which long term is excellent investment ROI. I believe I can have higher ROI and I am studying every day 1 to 2 hours and applying my poker knowledge in edge finding to investing as well as BR management. So far it is paying off so long term I expect to make "some" money in investing by the end of the year also.
Besides investing teaching has been going good! This week was slow and previous one wasn't so great but there are awesome things happening from tomorrow all the way to the next week. As I was outlining expectations prior to beginning of the challenge, realistically I can save 300-400$ per month from music teaching with current teaching schedule. Everything above that would be extra and well done.

What is my goal by the end of the year?
Play 15s, 30k of them, make 30k post RB from them, pay off apartment mortgage and have 18k left for poker and investing. From investing and music teaching save another 2k to start January next year with 20k BR (including life roll). From that point on, assuming I will stay in Serbia more, set up a challenge to make and save 60k+ with all 3 things combined (teaching, poker and investing). If my BR grows faster, depending on investing opportunities and market I can then even reach 6 figures which is my long term goal to be able to make 100k per year. The beauty of systems I have set is that my income does not depend on 1 thing purely which balances out variance part and I can realistically follow what is bringing me what.
Here are some examples for teaching, poker and investing.
Teaching
If I am saving now 300-400$ per month, per year that is 3.5k-4.8k. To save more than that I need to accept new students and increase rates. This is definitely something that I will consider doing through out the year but poker is more stable hourly and I am doing my best to put most hours into it instead while going for 12k saving plan!
Poker
Already discussed above, 1$ per game, it is just matter of putting grinding shoes and playing the games so that money comes long term. To play 30s+ I would likely have to review advanced approaches 3/3 and HU which would potentially bring higher hourly but it would also require much larger BR and higher variance. Right now with 3k roll I don't want to play 30s. I think even with 10k earned through poker I would not play 30s. I will probably try some 30s for fun and as a reward when time comes and that will be after I pay 12k apartment mortgage and have outside of that very solid BR (4.5k minimum).
So for poker it is matter of stable income vs investing in my knowledge further for higher ROI. Since I have been playing poker for 3-4-5 years now professionally, I understand benefits and cost of both approaches. I have decided to spread my investing in different areas and not just focus on poker as doing other things brings me more balance and happines in life overall vs just doing poker! I do agree that with Spins I can reach a point of making 6 figures per year alone but that road requires lots of hours of studying, adjusting and readjusting and playing excellent players who came as beasts from other formats. That is just too much hustle for me right now. I prefer to make 1$ per game without brutal variance and count on that money long term.

Investing
Beauty with investing is that more BR I have for it, more money I can expect long term. So with 20k BR I can potentially expect to double my BR by the end of the year or even earn more or less than that. It all depend on my investing style, if I am conservative, aggressive or anywhere in between. Right now I am choosing to maximize my EV by investing more % (4-5%) of my BR into something that seems like a very sure thing (nothing is 100% , otherwise people would put all their money on it!) while for the regular investments I put 1-2% of the BR. This system has its advantages and disadvantages. Advantage is that if my predictions for investing are good for those 4-5% investments, then even if I do worse at those 1-2% investments I will still have positive ROI in investing long term. If it is the other way around then I would need to be right way more times with 1-2% investments to make sure I cover looses from 4-5% investments. Kind of like with the spins!
So long term, I believe strongly that with investing I can surpass the income from poker alone! Yes I said it. If I make 30-40k from poker, I can (over time) make more from investing. How much more? Beauty lies in BR size not in opponents and limits like with poker.
So I choose to study investing daily with hope that next year I will already have 20k BR for investing which should bring me to 50k+ BR for year after etc. Already 2 years from now assuming I stay in Serbia, teach like now, play 15s Spins and invest my BR same way like with poker, I will then get to point of earning 6 figures.

This alone gives me so much drive, motivation and will to succeed. 100k per year is awesome and now I can see how to achieve it very clearly. After 100k there is potential and space to make 1 million but of course as I mentioned with investing it is all about BR size and proper money management.

In this post and update, I shared with you my thinking process for future when it comes to making and saving money. Poker is one and sure thing (stable income), teaching income varies but pays life expenses and finally investing brings potential opportunity to win a lot of money but requires significantly larger BR then poker if you want to win same or more money in comparison to 15s Spins.
I have not discussed my teaching goals in this post in detail but I will just say that my long term goal is to also increase income in that area through various different systems that I will need to set up and follow. This alone can potentially bring a lot of money but I am in no rush when it comes to it so I am just doing 1 on 1 teaching now focusing all my time on that. I definitely want to maximize my income in this area as well so there will be period of several months or a full year when I will step it up all in with my teaching business world wide. Expect this to bring awesome results and automate business to the point where I am making minimum 10k per year on auto pilot! Very much look forward to that also.

Hope you enjoyed this update and learned something new from it. I will update full as well as separate graphs at the end of the month with financial update how much was saved for April.

Enjoy your weekend on and off the tables!

2016 Challenge - Saving 12k$
April
Days 23,24 and 25
2370/4000 games
82.78 hours grind

Graph for those days:

Interesting days behind me.
Around week or so ago, started studying investing 1 to 2 hours per day. Along with investing, I am also watching 2 games per night NBA Playoffs which affected my grinding the most. During the days I spend time with family and friends as well as teach. So when I think about all those things, it adds up to low volume in the past days. Also, mentally I am feeling very much in the vacation mode simply because I already managed to save this month amount which was meant to be saved. That affected it mostly, realizing that it I did better then I initially expected for April and then decided to reward myself in more ways then one.
Now onto what I am will plan to do in the following 5 days! I am 630 games short right now from 3k games which will be perfect amount for 1st month of challenge. It should take me about 20 hours in those 5 days to reach that volume and that is what I plan on doing. Some days will be very hard due to teaching (like on Wednesday 3 lessons) or seeing a new girl (Thursday) or Easter (this weekend) but the fact that it is more difficult pushes me to work even harder.
When it comes to actual game play, variance was huge factor in half of the volume presented on the graph above. Standard pre and post flop set ups. 2nd part of the graph was mostly played today and I made about 10 buy ins. The thing about that is I made mistakes that I am not happy about due to focus going down and not playing nowhere my best. I am however happy that tonight I started applying some new concept in my game which I am positive it will bring me even better win rate in the future. It will however require more studying and reviewing which would be cool to do as a direct result of increasing my win rate on 15s.

For the end of the update, current stats on 15s: 1020 games, cEV 53 with evROI 3.95% running at 3.82% ITM 36.37%. Expect higher ITM for sure and as I polish my game a bit more 70 cEV will be well within reach, feel 60 is already there! End of the month update will include graph for 15s for those graph hunters.

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

2016 Challenge - Saving 12k$
April
Day 26
2514/4000 games
86.95 hours grind

Graph for the day:

Quite busy day today!
Completed morning routine and talked with my friend over Skype for about 1 hour. Talked about potentially visiting him this year! After that went for coffee with my best friend and grinded 1st session there. Played very well, had lot of ITM but not winning any multiplier higher then 2x. Went to eat some traditional Serbian food, got home and started to grind 2nd session. Results were much better in that one and I continued to maintain strong focus with emphasis on applying things I am working on improving. Taught 1 lesson and talked with elspycho. Watched some NBA, then talked to Alex over Skype for about 1 hour and then grinded 3rd session for the day which was almost or even a bit over 2 hours. During 1st half of the session focus was very strong and I played good. I got 25x game but lost it with 99 vs QQ so gg. After that game everything went kinda downhill. My focus dropped a bit, I was feeling a bit tired but I kept playing for another hour or so. That final hour was very interesting as I encountered very different opponents and that + lack of strong focus and setups dropped my cEV for the day. For most of the day it was over 100 but ended day with 76 cEV. Long term on 15s want to get to 70 cEV to win post RB 1.25$ per game 4 tabling.

Feel particularly good that I put over 4 hours grind today and managed to hang out with my best friend + talk to my friends via Skype on 3 occasions and teach 1 hour!

Tomorrow will be really challenging as I will teach 7:45pm-11pm and need to still put 4 hours of grind minimum for the day. Besides that I will need to prepare things for the end of the month which include hiring maid and cook, personal trainer, connecting my desktop computer and improving it, writing out examples for my students and of course doing the monthly blog update with numbers.

Fun fact for today, passed 3k BR , now have 200+ buy ins for 15s which is great. By the end of next month with decent variance I am sure I can get it to 6k or more which would allow me to keep pushing volume and complete whole challenge sooner then expected!

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!
