Hi daniliano,

Multiaccounting (having more than one account at one pokersite) is, to the best of my knowledge, forbidden. If you already had an account at 888, you are not able to get your account tracked.

Ah, I see.
Unfortunately all of our offers are meant for new accounts, so your account can't be linked.

Not true La55i.
If you read the relevant section of the Forum regarding linking existing accounts to Pokerstrategy it advises that the player contacts their support and negotiate a deal so the account can be linked.

888.com obviously want his business -- and if he plays on another site to get strategy points then its their loss -- so it is in the interests of both parties to come to a workable solution.

The advice here should be: contact their support and try to negotiate linking your existing account to pokerstrategy.

Hi poompah,

If a member already has an account at a pokersite, there is no incentive for that pokersite to track the account with us and give away a part of its profit. I know for sure that PokerStars will not do this and I'm 99% sure this is also the case with 888poker. Of course contacting the poker room support or PokerStrategy support is fine but I'm quite sure it wont help. I haven't heard of a single case where member would have been able to track his existing account. That is why I'm not advising to contact any support about this matter.

And even if tracking the existing account would be possible, I highly doubt that they would give the first deposit bonus/welcome package/free money.

Regards

la55i

Your unwillingness to answer my very simple and basic questions is kind a putting me of to play at 888. I only play on sites I trust, (e.g. I will never play on PartyPoker again since the segregated tables.) at the moment you are evading my questions and not answering on basic information any representative of a business should know:

Do not hold your breath. 888 customer service pretty much sucks -- they may take up to a week to reply to a message and then just to ask you for more details or completely misunderstand you.

I have an ongoing issue with bonuses that were not credited to my account when signing up -- bonuses that were subsequently REMOVED ALONG WITH ADDITIONAL MONEY WON AT THE TABLES -- and this rep here on Pkerstrategy has not bothered to reply to my messages sent to him regarding this. It has been weeks of waiting for a response.

Their preferred strategy is to wait and wait and hope you go away -- it seems like!

For any one thinking of taking out the welcome bonus at 888.com you need to know an important fact.

To qualify for their welcome bonus -- the *free $20* offer seen here -- you have 1 month to play a LOT of hands. If you are a beginner that will mean something like 20-30.000 hands of 2NL/5NL in order to be allowed to keep the *welcome bonus*.

This is a welcome bonus that will be taken back unless you play a LOT. You will be *unwelcomed* after a month.

But what is MUCH worse and something not shown in any of their literature -- buried deep in their T&C is a line that states that is you use this bonus to play poker -- 888.com will keep the winnings (it will appear in your account as *restricted*). And if you do not qualify in time they will not only take back the welcome bonus but your legitimate winnings too.

And what is MUCH MORE SINISTER is the T&C also states the *the bonus account is always used first each day* (even if you deposit more money -- as I did).
What this amounts to is a way of forcing you to use the *bonus* money in your account for your bets (in the case of poker that would be the first 4 tables of 5NL you open! -- and if closing one then the next etc.) .

What you will see each day is 888.com claim a part of your table winnings and put it into your *restricted* account -- on top of the existing bonus. You cannot withdraw this money -- even though you won it from other players.
And if you do not qualify for the bonus inside the first month 888.com will take this money from your account.

The exact amounts are not made clear and make little sense -- but every day I play they take a little bit (I am not talking about rake here people).

I played 10.000 hands in my first month with 888.com at 2NL and paid over $30 in rake. They still took away the $20 welcome bonus AND another $9 of my winnings.
After I complained they returned $29 to my account as guess what -- another *bonus* which I cannot withdraw. They do not show how much of this you have qualified for so you cannot work out how many hands you need to play to keep it.
But every day my *restricted* account grows bigger. That's right -- they returned the bonus but now it is the '*first* money I play with even though I deposited my own money into the account to play with.

I am still waiting for a satisfactory answer from them.

But rest assured this is an underhand tactic used to claw back the *bonus* they put in your account PLUS extra dollars to pay for those players who actually play enough to keep it.
What is quite sick is that even playing 2NL and only 10.000 hands in a months I paid more in rake than the bonus was worth -- they could have paid me the bonus and still been in profit for my play. Instead they took back the bonus, kept all the rake AND an additional $9 of my winnings. That is $30 in rake plus $9 *restricted* they took IN MY FIRST MONTH PLAY.

That is 14.5 buy-ins of rake in the first month -- over 10.000 hands -- or 14.5 bb/100.

88.com *bonus* policy ensured that I paid 45% MORE rake than established players with no *welcome bonus*.

I am still waiting for a satisfactory reply from them (for over week) as to exactly HOW this qualifies as any kind of *welcome*.
Its much more like *hello sucker*....

Forgive for believing that a *bonus* month should be one where I pay LESS rake -- as that is their strategy for attracting new players -- it is good marketing practice.
888 want to get the new players -- but they also not only do not want to let you have any kind of bonus -- they use underhand methods to make you pay even more rake AS A NEW CUSTOMER!!
This is not the actions of an ethical company -- nor one that even follows up pm its promises to new players. They are cheating you -- plain and simple.

They *explain* it in their Bonus Policy but give no indication as to the calculation involved -- nor that this figure just keeps adding up. Every day my restricted funds account grows bigger -- and this is ALWAYS what is used *first* the next day. Thereby guaranteeing I never hit the target -- because they move the goalposts further away every day!

They say this:

9. Any winnings generated from bonus money, whether in whole or in part, shall be paid to the winning player as follows: (i) a payment to the player's real bankroll up to the bet amount that was funded from real money; (ii) a payment to the player's 'bonus wallet' up to the original bonus amount used to fund the bet or up to the amount that was in the player's 'bonus wallet' prior to funding the bet, whichever is greater; and (iii) a payment of remaining winnings to the player's real bankroll if associated with poker games or to the 'bonus wallet' if the general bonus was played in casino games.

10. Your account is made up of both Available funds (those that can be used in any applicable game or withdrawn subject to the Withdrawal Policy) and Restricted funds (the total of bonus funds that have not yet met the wagering requirement and any winnings associated with such bonus funds). If you have both Available funds and Restricted funds in your account, the next wager you make will use Restricted funds first. Available funds will only be used once your Restricted funds balance is zero. If you place a wager on casino games using Restricted funds only and win you will receive, depending on your account currency, up to a maximum of $500/€500/£500 in winnings. If your winnings exceed $500/€500/£500 you will only receive $500/€500/£500. Such limitation on your winnings shall not apply to verified progressive jackpot winnings derived from Restricted funds.

By definition if the first bet you make every day comes from the restricted account and has the winnings credited to your restricted account the ONLY way you can EVER reach zero is by losing all the bonus money. Otherwise when you win -- there is more money restricted -- which will be used for your next bet -- and if you win with that....

It seems to me that this was fair as they even gave you the bonus money back a 2nd time.
The terms and conditions are there to read before you join any site and bonus wagering requirements are also needed for all first deposit bonuses on all poker sites also so there is no hidden agenda. No site will give you free money to withdraw without first earning the points etc that are required you must realise that surely.

From May 29 through June 1, the second edition of the 2016 $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl will take place at ARIA in Las Vegas.
The event will see 49 of the world's best players battle it out for their share of a $15 million prize pool, with the eventual winner taking home a smooth $5 million.

888poker,the 2nd largest poker room & the official sponsor of the 2016 World Series of Poker, is proud to announce a new partnership with the $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl,
as well as a collaboration with Poker Central, the world’s only 24/7 Poker TV network.
888poker will have branding at the actual event as well as in-show during the television broadcast.
“We’re thrilled to add 888poker as our newest partner and Super High Roller Bowl sponsor,” said Clint Stinchcomb, CEO of Poker Central.
“888poker’s huge popularity makes it a natural fit for our Bowl and our TV network.”

This year, each buy-in will once again be rake-free and sponsors have added $300,000 to the prize pool. Among those already confirmed to play
are Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth and our very own Dominik Nitsche.
Kara Scott, 888poker ambassador, will be hosting the event.

"I was a bit sad to have missed out on the $500,000 buy-in last year," Nitsche previously told us. "It sounded like such an amazing event, but I quite honestly wasn't
convinced it would be great value. This year they have decided to add an extra $300,000 to the prize pool to create a negative rake. I have also heard quite a few amateur
players are interested in playing. I have done quite well in high roller tournaments recently, so I figured why not?"

May the cards be with him !

Reagrding the newish 888 Club Poker, how is anyone who just plays poker meant to accumulate points? It seems that you can't get more points until you do a sports bet, or play the casino. Is it 888's policy to encourage gambling where we might not otherwise consider it? Seems so to me. I maxed out the points I can get playing poker and haven't been awarded any more points since. I think this new system is pretty bad value and if it doesn't change then I'll go to a site that is more poker-centric, less generalist, and actually rewards me for playing games I like as oppossed to stuff I don't.

Hi,

I didn't want to bother much reading vip club rules (or how it is called). It seems complicated so I didn't get into details, didn't want to loose time on that. Could you please tell me, if I pay 1000$ rake in a month, how much rakeback could I get (without first deposit bonus).

The new rewards program is not based on rakeback. Players receive gold tokens for each level completed and the completion of each level depends on what challenge the players choose, so there is no possibility to calculate exact rakeback and we prefer not to use that terminology any longer because it is no longer relevant to our new rewards program.

Partypoker segregated players based on winrate, players with a high(er) winrate could not see tables with player that has a lower/negative winrate. This was implemented a few years back without introduction (after PP claimed there would be No! software changes), they semi-recently reversed this after ~2years when they noticed players taking advantage of the crappy system they implemented.
Almost immediately after the introduction players found out about the segregation and asked for a explaination, PP only gave this after 1.5years. They have lost about 50-75% of their playerpool because of this idiotic stunt. Including me, and because of it I will never play there again.

I will also really have to be convinced ever to play on 888 mostly because of the way the Official Rep had no answers or was unwilling to reply, I will not risk my money on sites that do not have the skill (or willingness) to treat their customers right.
Had he responded to me with attention to detail and knowledge about the issues I would now probably be a player at 888.

The answers I finaly received on my questions were acceptable for me to play on their site, the manner in which they treated me (mostly the Rep) wasn't.

ok thanks for the explanations. I guess, if you continue with this manner, you will end up playing only on pokerstars, since they seem the only "professional" casino regarding software and security. Customer support is usually quite good on all casinos, I don't know what is wrong with 888.
