we apologies, but for some reason we missed the email notifications about new posts and therefore this went a little be unattended for a while. This morning the PokerStrategy support pointed this out and we immediately came here to answer.

Hi,

we believe that PokerSnowie is good for any player at any stake. The problem at very low ones, like 0.01/0.02 are mainly two:

- The playing style of the opponents might be occasionally "weird" and end up in situations which PokerSnowie has never seen during the training, and therefore the advice might be not accurate.

- The rake at these levels impacts a lot, and it could be that playing a pure "GTO" style does not create enough profit.

But we believe that learning and training with PokerSnowie will give you very solid bases and then you can develop some good ways to deviate from GTO (adapt) to optimize your strategy at certain levels or versus certain specific opponents.

I hope this answers.

Hello,

my "Range advice" function isn't working as off today ("internal error [code: 363]" pop up).

I've sent an email to support@pokersnowie.com but haven't received any kind of answer yet. I'm wondering if this is a problem on your end or if I need to fix something on my end.

Every other function works fine. Only the range advice.

Thank you

Is it possible to select to only play the same spot over and over to practice/perfect my strat on different boards? So let's say I want to simulate a real game (snowie does his thing to react vs my actions), only that I want to practice BUvBB, so every hand I am dealt in the BTN in a 6max table where I can raise first in.
Is this possible?
If not, anyone know other software where it is?

Hi,

this concept is already in our to-do list, as many customers suggested it.

Thanks!

Hello and thanks for getting back on the thread!

So when you say on your to-do list, roughly how long does that take until it's actually implemented?
I think it would be a very popular feature, I would buy the software for this feature alone.

Thanks

Hi,

this is a difficult question, as the priorities on our to-do list change often, depending on several factors.

No promises, but if nothing special will change, we would aim to have it by the end of the year. But like I said, don't use this post against us in a tribunal :-)

Thanks,

Hello !
I have also a suggestion (sorry for bad english):
Challange 2 vs. Pokersnowie
I think, is for many player difficult to assess how strong Pokersnowie play and if his suggestions are real better as the own play.
Lets Pokersnowie take the part of hero (so pokersnowie play instead of the realplayer hero) in a challange and simulate any number of hands.
Then let the player play the exact same cards (Hole and boardcards from hero) again in a normal challange.
So the player can see who have the better results and how strong is his playingstyle compared to Pokersnowie.
So the player see in a short time how strong is pokersnowie really compared to his pokerstyle (same Hole and Boardcards allow a perfect comparison)
If Pokersnowie make continuous better results than the player itself, then he must acceppt that pokersnowie play stronger and its a really motivation to learn to play as snowie.
I think, this is the fastest way to see how strong the software really is in compared to the player and make muuuuuuuuuuuuuch fun

Hi!, what a great tool to acquire a sense of balanced ranges Snowie is :) . I recently tried it to improve the way I construct ranges, but there're something I still don't get:

Shouldn't be GTO perfect to defend 66% vs half pot bet here? (as you can see Snowie is defending just 44%), although is a super dry board?. If not we can make insta profit by cbetting any 2 here.

Hi,

thanks for your post. We have forwarded it to our AI team, please allow some time to get an answer, as some people are on holiday at this time of the year.

Thanks,

Hi PokerSnowie,

Do you have any news about a new AI engine update? I'm especially interested in a shortstack improvements. If I remember you said that June 2016 is the realistic date of release. That was like 6-7 months ago so things could have changed though.

Regards,

Hi,

a group of poker coaches is testing our new AI, where we added a new betsize and trained it more. We aim to release it August/September. About the short stack improvement, we might release it at the same time - this has to be decided. No promises anyway :-)

Once the release will be ready we will send out a proper communication to everyone.

Thank you,
The PokerSnowie Team

This isn't really a snowie question but I'll try to help. There are spots, especially on flop and turn, in which one player has a significant range advantage (plus position helps), and the other player should not be defending 1-a. There's nothing "non-GTO" about being able to "insta profit by betting any 2" in certain spots. It seems you may be conflating a toy game with actual poker. Also note that just because you can instaprofit doesn't mean that betting with 100% range is the highest EV strat.

That said, while PokerSnowie is a useful tool, it does not play GTO; it's just a loose approximation
