Not really, i find SSS when im only playing 6 tables quite easy and also im playing on 2 completely different sites. But if anything i find playing SSS harder because is still have my SH head on and i want to raise hands like A4s from CU. (i do it anyway tho and call it a steal now )
But when i do BSS i try and be more focused. The only reason im SSS'in is to clear 400 MCP's so i keep the Second starting capital. And tbh i dont really care if i finish in losses because
1.Its only a little back up roll
2.Ive still got $80 bonus left!

Anyway GL and enjoy therest of the week.

Everest Poker so far:

The amount of hands I get is very slow + multitabling is a hell (up to 8)

Trappers everywhere on NL100 pssky.. I already quit this session due tilt after I saw 3 times ''He must have aces''-action: openlimp mp3/3bet shove , flatcalls UTG raise from BB with AA 2x...

I don't throw away QQ+,AKs+ , no chance..

sigh. just a big sigh.

Gerv,

Unfortunatelly, not yet. When i create one I link to you, for sure =D.

Maybe in future i start one, nowadays i'm not having too much time to write, just read and play as well.

And how about the bankroll? things seems to be something weird at Nl100.

Just for a note, portuguese coach of SSS started a bankroll building coachs when he reached Nl100 everything staterd to go wrong... (the link of the blog-it's in portuguese but the $$ and stats you can recognize xD- https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/pt/forum/thread.php?threadid=1817 )

My bankroll is still okay however I switched to NL50 because I am feeling comfortable there and I think I have to play more more more so I think I will switch to Nl50 on Everest. Sounds degenerating but I rather do that than losing my bankroll

Anyways Brussels! so I will not be playing on Thursday & Friday! Too bad :(

Thanks in Advance and for now I will be gone to Belgium :)

Feel free to reply but I won't be replying until I am back home on Friday Evening

Hmm, think I drank Bush once, but don't remember, most likely way better than Guinness though. And Duvel, what more do you want? (except for Westmalle Tripel).

[x] Philosophy in Brussels

I decided to write some report about what I exactly did in Brussels + some thoughts on my PokerLife, I combined both during Brussels and it would be a shame to just say ''Hey guys Ive been in Brussels, was fun etc.''

So it started all when I had to catch my train to Breda where we met each other to continue by a Bus towards Brussels. The journey lasted for 2h and 20 minutes :) However some were late by a 1-hour delay thanks due some idiot who jumped in front of the train. I mean, the world is not going to end when you lost your startcapital on PokerStrategy pal.. :O just don't jump next time otherwise I kill you!

Anyways after a hour waiting, we jumped in the Bus towards the Youth Hostel in Brussels. When we arrived at like 14:00, we immediately had to go to the European Parliament so I had no time undressing something appropriate lawl

The Hostel is here

So we quickly went with the Bus to this fella:

The distance is like 1.5 kilometres but it took 45 minutes to arrive with the Bus. Heavy traffic I am not used to lol

So we got welcomed by the vice-chairman of the GUE/NGL in the Parliament. Maybe it is handy to give yourself a picture of which Political Parties are there in the GUE/NGL:
http://www.guengl.eu/showPage.jsp?ID=327

Well we got a small lecture of how it works here and what the powers are etc. Some were astonished that the Commission had the Right of Iniative while we in Holland are used to the fact the the Parliamant has the Right of Iniative.

Anyways we went back to the Hostel around 17:00 CET Thursday. We checked in with our stuff and got into our rooms. I shared it with 3 other guys from different cities/ages. One was member of council in Alkmaar, one was on the list for the European Elections and so on.

We came into the room and we were like WTF how dirty is this... Crisps, chocolate and H&M papers on the ground while the bathroom is even more dirty with an unclean tampon like object. gross!

So one of us talked to the owner without saying it to me and the rest. Meanwhile there were a lot of guys/girls jumping in our room, gee are we popular? They knock, we open, they open, they left. After a while someone knocked again, and we opened as if they were among us. However there was an Alto-guy coming in with a sort of Nightwish t-shirt and some guy who we thin-slice identify as the head of this Hostel.

In the WORST Belgian English accent we heard up till this point, he asked the guy with the Nightwish shirt after investigating OUR room:
,So you call thís cleaning??'

And the funniest thing ever was that this Nightwish Guy who was British said Yes!. Hilarious

So the Owner told him to get the cleaning stuff and clean the damn room so they both went downstairs again. Then there were the 3 of us in the room because 1 was in the other room, doing all kind of... whatever that ain't important!

So we looked at each other and laughed out loud what just happened, we totally weren't prepared to see 2 complete strangers for us having a conversation about our room, lol !

After we had our dinner + an evening lecture about European Co-Operation , it was time for some clubbing in Brussels :)

We split our 30-man group in like 3 groups seeking for Beer/Whine/Cocktails whatever!! We socialists need to socialize after all... At some point we found a Pub which suited our very well with Pocket Beers. Funny thing here in Belgium is that smoking Pubs is allowed while in Holland it is forbidden!.

Include that into the equation with 9 smokers out of 12, they were smoking as if it was a glass of water. We ordered Beer like Yoghi's Westmalle Tripel, Bush, Guinness and regular Beer as you can see here:

The damn funny thing was that we sat in a Non-Smoking area lol so we had to move! This was around 23:00 CET and the Hostel its doors would close around 01:00 so we had to get back before that time. We hopped into another Pub with cheaper prices and had some fun there altogether.

We continued our party in the Hostel pub with even cheaper prices, whoa! Also the music wasn't that bad + there was 1 Widescreen television showing JackAss and 1 smaller Television showing the EPT with Roland de Wolff, don't know which EPT it was but it was grabbing my attention once in a while

We rickrolled into our bed at 03:00 knowing our breakfast will be at latest 09:00 CET but who cares about that :P We cared about the lecture that was supposed to start at 10:00 CET but the distance was 1.5km and we had to walk! Seriously WALK X(

After 30 minutes and some strains in my muscles filled with Alcohol we arrived there to get another lecture about Lobbying in Brussel. Because of this lecture we decided to hopefully return to Brussel with a Demonstration against Lobbying on the 27th of March. What happens there is like a corrupt state like Zimbabwe.. Multinationals who are trying to persuade MPs to vote for something is sick!

After that lecture we took the metro to walk around the offices of the European Commission and the offices nearby. We saw an office that were lobbying for the Russian Government and GASprom during the war in Georgia, we saw a guy looking outside towards the Red masses of 30 people, smiling and raising 2 fingers as if he means 'Peace' well guess what we said to him in Dutch ...

Around 17:00 CET Friday we hopped back in the Bus going to Breda again. This was the moment I thought about my Pokerlife. I mean at some point I have to focus on other things other than SSS since it will become a mechanism like basic SSS. For the month February & March, I think I will stay at SSS for sure due all the bonuses I priced myself into (Everest, iPoker²) so don't worry :)

But after that in April, I think I will take a shot at BSS FullRing and play once in a while SSS as well on the same limit :)

Beating SSS NL200 is actually a very realistic goal while NL1k, NL400 SSS sounds nice, it doesn't add up much for me but Scared Money since I found shoving $80 or $200 too much for me as if it is a 20bb stack..

anyways I hoped you really like this report, I go grind on NL50 Everest again. I specifically have chosen for NL50 Everest because I can grind my 5000 points easily with a stable profit without any worries, I lost too much time partying and travelling for this 30 day Bonus to focus on both Nl100 trappers on Everest and getting my 5000 points properly.

Also Everest software sucks when I open my 11th table, pretty sick that it lags and autofolds my Aces :(

I wish you guys good luck and socialize on this Saturday Evening as well ;) I go to my buddies at 21:00 CET, drinking some beer and raising hell !

Oh Gerv I could give you hell.

And I don't think there is anything like a 'belgian accent'.

For example i'm from Antwerp: If i speak my accent in a really dirty way, and someone else from west-flanders does the same with his accent - there is NO way we could communicate.

That's the cool thing about belgians: Someone living 30kms away from me could be speaking a totally different language

BTW : Duvel rules :)

[x] If I had a TimeMachine...

This song is going to be the next big hit in The Netherlands, for sure since I heard it a couple of times in Pubs. Also the beat is quite funny and not Hip/Hop exclusive.

What's more striking me is the lyric, while google tried its best to translate it into perfect English *cough*, it failed sometimes

The lyrics you read in dutch are obviously different and can be interpreted more as you hear the song because it is performed with passion and the listeners can hear that. an English translation on the contrary just sounds to superficial but I hope you will interpret this song right, it is a good song because it fits for both purposes I like in Music: Either it can touch you emotionally or Party-music

But let's go back to my poker session of yesterday, I think that's the most important thing to talk about. Ehrm ye I think it is.

I calculated how many hands I approx. needed for getting this $500 bonus on Everest without risking too many things. I completely ignore the NL100 section untill I get the hang of the software so I will be grinding my ass of on Ten tables on NL50. If I open the 11th or 12th table, then the software will auto-fold all my hands, including Pocket Aces. Sounds strange but it even folds Pocket Aces..

I ''acquired'' 15,000 hands from NL100 Everest in the mean time so I am more or less prepared while others playing against me are not

Let's check the graph:

As you can see I had a major downfall of losing stacks and that was thanks due some Donkey who tried to be funny but ended up +$100 on a NL50 table:

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (10 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop | saw showdown

Hero (CO) ($10)
UTG ($69.75)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A, A
UTG calls $0.50, 3 folds, MP2 calls $0.50, 1 fold, Hero bets $3, 3 folds, UTG calls $2.50, 1 fold

Flop: ($7.25) 10, Q, J (2 players)
UTG bets $7.25, Hero calls $7 (All-In)

Turn: ($21.25) 9 (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($21.25) 6 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $21.25

Results:
UTG had 8, 2 (straight, Queen high).
Hero had A, A (one pair, Aces).
Outcome: UTG won $20.45

This guy has stats of 80/65 but he's sooooooo bad, I caught him three times with a bluff but he won twice of them with a suckout, sucks ay? :)

During this downfall, I was a little bit steamed so I had to pack my motivation up together and continue playing. And it worked yay! Oh and this happened during my 2nd session. My first session ended up some BBs up while I got suckouts from this guy 'domdomzzz' which is translated into English: DumbDumbest..

I lucked out into some guy and that's the start of going up in the graph but the point was that I screamed ''YEH!'' instead of WTF what was he holding??!

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (10 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop | saw showdown

Hero (MP3) ($15.70)
UTG ($63)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A, A
UTG calls $0.50, 4 folds, Hero bets $2.50, 4 folds, UTG calls $2

Flop: ($5.75) 6, Q, 8 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $3.50, UTG calls $3.50

Turn: ($12.75) 9 (2 players)
UTG bets $12.75, Hero calls $9.70 (All-In)

River: ($32.15) 9 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $32.15

Results:
UTG had Q, 6 (two pair, Queens and nines).
Hero had A, A (two pair, Aces and nines).
Outcome: Hero won $30.55

Anyways a Day that was like the Nl100 Everest days but nevertheless I grinded like 400 points which means I played for 3 hours and 56 minutes divided into 2 sessions.

Tonight I will be playing some more and see if I can get some moniez as an addition :)

See you guys around!

[x] QuickStep

Hit'n'Run

Aahw today a short post since I only played 35 minutes.
I steamed a little bit despite I made a profit in those 35 minutes. I messed some things up and that should be the Exit Escape button as soon as possible! Also I didn't want to play anymore and that gives me reason #2 to quit playing.

The start of the session didn't started very well since I 3bet shove against a PFR on UTG2 and a Mp1 coldcaller with K:dK:h but shit happens I ran against A:cA:h :(

Meanwhile I scanned every table with EverestEye on NL200/100 and 50 but since Nl50 waiting lists were like 10+ (WTF), I had to choose the alternative route.

The first mistake was this hand.. gee:

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop | saw showdown

Hero (Button) ($7.75)
UTG+1 ($6.20)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 7, 8
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.50, 4 folds, Hero bets $2.25, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls $1.75

Flop: ($5.25) 10, 8, 3 (2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $4, UTG+1 calls $3.95 (All-In)

Turn: ($13.15) Q (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($13.15) A (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $13.15

Results:
Hero had 7, 8 (one pair, eights).
UTG+1 had 8, 10 (two pair, tens and eights).
Outcome: UTG+1 won $12.50

Villain played 88/10 in 10 hands so the Isolation Raise was a bit questionable but putting him all-in was questionable as well since I could just have checked-back and see if he checked again.

Anyways fishes always have luck like me and you and this time he had it, well played :) Blame Gerv..

Later on K:dQ:d proved to be stronger than a Flushdraw + 1 overcard (A:hJ:h) and it was about to go on the right track but then the very next hand on the same table this occurs:

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (10 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop | saw showdown

Hero (MP3) ($22)
BB ($25.15)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with Q, Q
4 folds, Hero bets $2, 3 folds, BB raises $3.75, Hero calls $2.25

Flop: ($8.75) 9, 7, 10 (2 players)
BB bets $6, Hero raises $17.75 (All-In), BB raises $14.90 (All-In)

Turn: ($44.25) 8 (2 players, 2 all-in)

River: ($44.25) 7 (2 players, 2 all-in)

Total pot: $44.25

Results:
BB had A, A (two pair, Aces and sevens).
Hero had Q, Q (two pair, Queens and sevens).
Outcome: BB won $45.20

I was surely hoping for a low flop and that he had AK but min3bets are mostly always Overpairs like Kings or Aces, Gerv got trapped again and he wished he could have folded these Queens :(

Ofcourse I also could have Jammed it, there are positive and negative aspects of both plays ;)

The FriedFish moment was in fact a cooler on NL200, remember I acquired some 15 000 hands on Everest poker ? Some were on Nl200 so I have a sort of DB there!

Villain played really loose, making a lot of strange plays (limp/fold UTG, openLimp BTN, minraise UTG2 and a potopenraise on Mp1, bluffc-bets/shoves etc.etc.) so I was hoping to get him:

The Fried Fish Moment

BB ($124.70)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J, 10

Flop: ($6) Q, 9, 8 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, CO checks

Turn: ($6) 9 (3 players)

[x] Krazy! Pjanoo!

Long time ago I updated my BLog, I was busy with School & playing Everest tables since I committed myself into getting a VIP Level to benefit from. However stupid thing is that I didn't calculate if it really matters :)

Anyhow Anyway, my EverestEye trial was expired so now I have to rely on the lobby stats. Since I dont got many stats yet since I only played 5k hands on Nl50 or so, it doesnt really matter.

I noticed that the tables were getting tighter each day on Nl50 but still can manage to get it up ;) Especially a boost on Nl200 sometimes helps too. Skipping Nl100 sounds strange but I have a psychological disadvantage there since I dont feel confident there.

Normal setup is that I play 10 or 11 tables Nl50 and 1 on Nl200 but sometimes I have to quit one since my PC will freezes frequently because of the CPU usage of Everest, I mean come on! =(((

As I said already, yesterday was a good day, bummer that I lost some in the end but that was a matter of trapping retards rather than focus:

I am most happy of the Non-SD winnings but I shouldnt be affected by results, what's quite funny is that everytime I attempted a steal from the Button yesterday (1.2k hands), I successfully stole the blinds

I played 2 sessions yesterday while I planned 3 because of the need to get x points before the end of February to enroll into the VIP program. As I already said, I will look into it after this..

Noticable hands were on NL200 were most of my focus were on (making notes etc.)
I got Kings on a Nl200 twice in a row, 1st attempt I openraise, everyone mucks. Ok nice.

Then I got kings on Mp3 again, the very next hand. UTG+1 openraises Pot, MP1 coldcalls, I squeeze All-in and they both fold again lol.

A nice hand of NL200 is this one which is kinda logical in theory but still for a Nl100 nit, it has a kind of treshold to call this one because of the moniez

No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (10 handed)

saw flop | saw showdown

CO ($254.80)
Hero (Button) ($37)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, Q
5 folds, CO bets $7, Hero raises $17, 2 folds, CO calls $10

Flop: ($37) 7, K, K (2 players)
CO bets $37, Hero calls $20 (All-In)

Turn: ($77) 2 (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($77) 5 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $77

Results:
Hero had Q, Q (two pair, Kings and Queens).
CO had J, A (one pair, Kings).
Outcome: Hero won $74

Also I like to point out that when you choose the $500 Diamond First deposit bonus at Everest, your rakeback is like 100% if my calculations are correct concerning Paid rake into HEM (Not dealt) in relationship with the Everest Points I get.

As an addition you get money from the VIP Summit club although that's not really much. Something like $50 I think.

My plans for tonight is just playing and playing some Team Fortress 2, They got this update of the Scout.

Also one can buy team Fortress 2 for just 10 Euros instead of 20!!!! what tha fack!

If you decide to buy it, contact me on skype or steam (same username) and we can play a game together

The coaching of yesterday went well, we spotted some Fish Shortstack players on Nl20 Mansion and played accordingly. Made a solid profit there, I think 2 buyins up there. Funniest thing was that a Shortstack player posted his BB on UTG while in the next hand he has to pay the big blind again

I leave this piece of written work for now, got some stuff to do :)
Last word: I am asked to produce some videos for PokerStrategy, however this is in Dutch unless SoyCD contacts me and wants me to translate it into English OR you know some Dutch, you cannot watch this video :(

Cheers!
