I think I would rather check/raise the turn because I expect villain to cbet very often and with check/raising we will extract more value from top pairs / two pairs. I don't hate your play, either.

I like the xr on turn too.
As played it is hard to fold.

We should raise turn as hands can re-draw. Now you have come out cheaply but we missed a lot of value here OTT

without any read I guess it is correct play. You often will see his X behind OTT, so leading is ok without CB turn stats.
River could probably improve his calling range OTT => XC is Ok, bet fold is ok too.

There is nothing wrong with check-raising. Getting good value from a poor draw out of position is very hard. First, look at the odds on the flop. These are 22:9 - not very good. Passively calling and then calling again on turn (to a similar bet) is almost out of the question. If we hit, we have the unpleasant choices of either donking big (to compensate for poor odds so far) or to check, hoping for a bet. Then what? We check-raise of course, but how many calls do we get?

Just saying check-raising is perfectly okay. What to against a reraise is trivial (check the pot odds and decide). You can check-call flop too. You can actually FOLD flop too based on the poor 22:9 odds in combination with the difficulty of extracting value from the situation, redraws and all.

Another variant (when unimproved) is check-call flop - check-raise turn. They should say "Baluga" and fold 80% of their range (according to us here in the forum).

Praktu is offering raising the flop. This is not ok for me.

At the micros, I agree with you. They have a hard time to fold ever when you check-raise flop and follow up. I should have said that at the outset:)
