This is a heads up match, and I called villion's 3bet with my A5s.

He overbet(close to shove) on the flop, and I had a bottom pair.

If I assume he shove with any pair or any two over out of his 3 bet range, I am favorite against him.
I folded as I didn't like his 3 bet sizing which is more than his usual sizing out of 136 samples.

However, I think I made a mistake. As long as I hit the flop, it should be a profitable call when SPR is 2.

How do you guys do here? or any other option such as 4bet shoving with A5s preflop?

Hello Shin1019

Welcome on the PokerStrategy forum :welcome:

This is off course a HU SNG. So I have moved your thread to the SNG hand discussion forum, because its fits better there.

It’s also good to know if those stats are pure based on HU matches or other SNG’s or MTT’s as well. If this is only based on HU those stats aren’t too crazy I think. Than he is even on the tight side I think.

I would play the hand the same way what you did against a pretty straight forward player, but I would normal min raise pre-flop in position HU. The flop you can’t call his over bet with bottom pair and shoving is too much without fold equity most likely.

Cheers,

Yes, the stats are based on HU only.
I did min raise ("Hero raises [45]" means raised to 60)

I copied and pasted from HM2, but it does not seem very clear.
Do you know a better way to share hand history?

Thanks for your reply.
Yes since he 3 bets a lot, limp could be an option with intention of calling.
I raised since he defended his BB only about 50%. Would you still limp here with A5s?

From the reports tab, right-click on the hand and select view. Then choose the format you want, pokerstrategy in this case, in the dropdown near the bottom right (which probably says "HM2 (Default)" to start out). Then click the "Copy To Clipboard" button and voila: you are ready to paste the hand history into the forum of your choice.
