8500 hands a month.... at NL1000FR

are you serious??

100,000 hands / month should be more correct

Those elites i've seen usually play 5600 hu sit&go or step 6 sit&gos. Players like Dario Minieri, busto_soon, stevie444, rivermanl are all supernova elite and i see them always play those. So basically they have 500 VPPs for every sit&go they play. Let's say they play 6 times a day all year long and believe me they play much more...

500x6x365 = 1090000 = Supernova Elite

I'm goldstar btw. If you want to earn more points play shorthanded omaha h/l. I made 6100 points last month.

bronzestar, because I only played one session on stars so far ^^

definatly goldstar by the end of the mond -- platinumstar end of next month (we'll see  )

I'm not 100% my stars account is linked to pokerstrategy (it should be though), played a session friday and havent recieved any pokerstrategy points so far (sunday now). How can I check this?

On the main page there's an 'As Of' column at the right of your selected poker room. It shows the date your points were last updated.

Yes but I never recieved any points on pokerstars! played my first session friday :)

Already had an account there (played an MTT once) and it should be linked. It would suck if it wasn't linked, one of the reasons I moved to stars was for the pokerstrategy points.

Last update was on 6th of March, so if you played on Friday, your points should be there already.

Maybe it's time to contact PokerStrategy support to make it clear ;)

Bronze Star,

Played my first game on Feb 28, As of March 10 am now 300 points away from Silver star, I believe 1100 from Gold? I've produced 580 so far this month so possibly gold by the 31st?

On another not, I am now grinding $3.40 10 man turbos. I was jumping around from different game to different game playing way too tight. I decided it was time to pick something and grind it out, loosen up my game at lower blind levels, playing suited connectors and such.

As of yesterday I had a huge -RoI, I was concentrating too much on pumping out games for VPPs and not for profit. I've limited my play to 4 games at a time so i can concentrate and doubled my BR yesterday. Hopefully I can keep this playing style and not fall off track like I have done before with subconcious tweaks that do not need to be made.

Supernova

This year I'm aiming to hit 400 000 VPPs milestone. And the 2010 will be chase for elite.

And yes I am jealous at ipoker players. Difference in strategy points is criminal.
Probably have to do with percentage of rake Strategy is receiving from Stars.

What limit do you play and how many hands/year?

2/4$ FL SH 6-9 tabling for 3-5K hands per day
I'm going to 3/6$ when I play 100K hands at 2/4$

n1

Bronze. I am currently not collecting any points as I'm playing 0.10$ MTTs that don't have any rake :(. And since my BR is only 19,5$ or so, I can start collecting rake at earliest by playing 1$ DoNs at 50$ BR. But I would prefer 1$ MTTs at 100$. Too bad there is a long way to that :(.

i don't see what's wrong with NOT PAYING RAKE (!). That's like 100% rakeback ain't it?

SNE gets 60% rakeback O.o (somebody said).

It depends on what you play, but yes, it should be around that ;)

only if they reach the 3M VPP milestone. 1M VPP i think is ~50%, unless you include all those packages and freerolls they get as well.

It depends on whether you play FL/NL/SNG and what limit you play. It can be easily 60% @ 1million...

1 mil. VPP = 1,000,000*5 * $0.016 + 28,000 (milestones) - 4,800 (price of milestones) + 10,000 (cash bonus @ 1mil) = $113,200

Now you should calculate the rest based on VPP/hand and rake/hand, but this is @ FL SH 5/10 according to winning player's stats after 35khands:

1,000,000 VPP / 1.16 VPP/hand = 862,000 hands to play

2.19 BB/ 100 hands rake = 8,620 * 2.19 * 10 = $188,778 paid in rake

113,200 / 188,878 * 100 = 59.96% rakeback
