BB showed 6♠: 6♥: and won $19.15 ($9.15 net)
Hero showed K♦: A♦: and lost (-$10 net)

Villain is tight and aggressive.
I had a note that when I checked OTF he bets turn big and overbets river with air.
River card is shitty but he can't have QQ here. There are 4 (or 7 if we count 33) combos that beat me. He can very well have a weaker flush, 9x or total air like he did last time. Is it ok to go broke vs this guy or should I have just called? This is not my standard move but I did that because of the note I had.

I think its hard to fold such hand. Proabbly is not terrible call for given odds.

One thing I think is lack of information - is he balancing his bets with value. If he just bets this way with air, then there is no value in raising and we should start raising on turn or maybe even bet the flop.

And use this line - xb flop to bluffcatch turn and river with bluffcatchers - if he does this only with air, you can make good money with weak pairs I guess.

Spoiler

after seeing results we can see that he is balancing so we can adjust next time :)

what is the purpose to slowplay?

I had a read that when I check flop as pfr he did bet pot turn and overbet river with air.. So this play is only based on that note, I thought villain is aggressive and will stab me hard when I check. So basically the hand went just like I planned, only this time he had the nuts instead of air.

You + board blocks the top 3 flushes(A,K,Q), so would he really be shoving the river with T high or J high flush on this paired river? If he is a thinking player then not.

Imo its raise fold river as played. If you would not block the K flush then maybe raise call.

I would just bet/bet/bet here even with your note, we do want 3 streets + with nuts. We can xb flop and call turn + river with some weaker holdings as a bluff catcher, no need to get tricky with nuts.

river is super overplayed, he really has to be full retard to try to "rebluff" you or ship worse.
so what to do? raise/fold river is reasonable. i understand your note but i still really want to aggro earlier though, agree with marsa08 here in that you might just have tricked yourself.

Eh...given his bet sizing, I don't really think he's going to 3bet shove this river with a lower flush on a paired board. Further hurting your case is that you have the Kd as well, so there are a lot less lower flush combos out there (stuff like KQdd/KJdd/KTdd/K9dd/all that stuff is not there).

I think I like your play a lot more at higher stakes but I think you can generally just bet this flop in general, especially if he's tight. I would check more often vs. aggressive players who are capable of really bluffing big on later streets. But vs. a nit, you probably are only going to get 1-2 streets of value from Qx anyways, so might as well just bet the flop so that another diamond doesn't kill your action.

I might do so :) I see its paired so I can get value from trips :)

No consolation but I call river and go broke.

However I'm c-betting that flop ....If villain got nowt to call then I win a small pot:f_cry:

With nuts you need to build the pot at some point. I'd start building on the flop. If you don't, you have to start building on the turn. I don't like this "milking" at all, backing it up with our last 90 bb when we no longer have nuts in a still pretty small pot. The risk/reward ratio is terrible.
