$0.02/$0.04 No Limit Holdem
6 Players

Stacks:
UTG ($156.25BB) 156bb
UTG+1 ($100BB) 100bb
CO ($109.25BB) 109bb
BTN Hero ($100BB) 100bb
SB ($108.75BB) 109bb
BB ($160.25BB) 160bb
Pre-Flop: (1.5BB, 6 players) Hero is BTN Q♥: Q♣:

UTG calls 1BB, 1 fold, CO raises to 5BB, Hero raises 14BB, 2 folds, UTG folds, CO calls 9BB

Flop: 2♥: 9♦: 2♠: ($25.5BB, 2 players)
CO bets 13BB, Hero calls 13BB
Turn: 2♦: ($51.5BB, 2)
CO bets 26BB, Hero calls 26BB
River: 8♦: ($103.5BB, 2)
CO goes all-in 57.25BB, Hero ??

Villain is playing 24/17 in around 100 hands, not very meaningful.

I'm wondering if a call is always standard in this spot on the river. I'm thinking a fold is too weak!

3bet pre?

I'm calling him. He's playing his tens, jacks like this since you're having your pocket queens quite hidden in this spot.
However, villain is showing up here with pocket kings and aces quite often as well.

EDIT:
Didn't see that you actually 3bet in this spot.. I would 3bet bigger - x4/5 times his bet.
And I'm still calling him down - He would probably 4bet KK & AA

I think 3betting QQ against a CO raise is pretty standard. Also it’s likely he would 4bet KK+ here. The only hands you don’t beat is most likely 99 and 88, but I don’t think those hands would lead out the flop and I would call the river as well.

Cheers,

I would 3 bet bigger preflop, because we are likely ahead, so why not add one or two more BB. Calling preflop is wrong imo, because we do not want to play this hand MW, which might happen there. Now, about villain´s range. I think it is TT-QQ most of the time and of course 99 as well. 88 are unlikely, because it would be a overplay. KK and AA is 4 betting preflop most of the time. All in all I call the river.
