Today 4.33 hours of grind

Quite interesting day and one to learn a lot from!
Studying went really well and then at tables made mistake from the study. It means I need to go more over it to visualize and memorize it all.
Then, there was miss click somewhere and also miss plays. Hand reading wrong river in relation to flop vs turn action in relation to opponents range and tendency and then either 1) using wrong sizing or 2) not playing my range correctly. This was due to not thinking faster while 4 tabling about my full range on the river to weakest middle and strongest hands (+ all in the middle). So sometimes I bluffed with hands that should have been x on the river while others I was perhaps missing to bluff when I should have. So this is a huge theme and area that not is only important for 15$ limit but all the way to the highest limits. Playing OOP, realizing equity, playing full range on different texture vs different opponent tendencies and lines. So that is the theme that in 2017 I will definitely dedicate a ton of my time and focus and area where I expect to make most mistakes but also improve significantly (that was my weak area - OOP play in HU). So look forward to it a lot!
Then, there were setups that are just standard part of Spins or any short stacked game. That didn't affect me much nor hard.
Then, spots where I wrongly assumed opponents action of river - example: Expecting fold when specific opponent doesn't care how your range looks in given spot or what you are representing with your bet size but rather looks at his/her 2 cards and plays them. Example of this is texture like QJTxJ where action goes b x overbet river and opponent snaps with weak Qx. Quite interesting spots like that where opponents range in reality is crushed vs such sizing when I construct my river range because he calls with way too many bluff catches which means that in long run my boats straights and trips with blockers here are printing money long run vs his river calling over bet range. Things and spots like this are my tilt trigger. I make a play expecting him to fold there for a lot of Qx without blockers and then I see Q2o call and that puts me on steam! After those spots, I feel it is best to stop playing or stop loading more games. Not always but I definitely feel like I need to cool off after such calls. I get this inner feeling that I want to stop playing, take that hand, write out whole range on the river and see if I made mistake and move on!
Besides all the things I mentioned, I would say that in 4 grind sessions I played average C game today with of course periods of A game and having longer periods of B, B- game. But, there were miss plays, miss clicks, wrong strategy adjusting which brings the overall evaluation of today's grind down in my book regardless of results!
Today was planning to teach but ended up moving 2 guitar and music lessons.
So tomorrow will very likely go as following:
- Studying finished by 1pm
- Grinding between 1pm and 6pm (3 to 4 sessions)
- Teaching 6-7pm 7:30-8:30pm
- Hitting movies at 8:40pm
- Consider grinding additional session 11pm+
- Update blog and sleep
On Studying Update:
Will spend future hours to finish shallow stack play 3/3. Take all the ranges, visualize difficult spots and review this daily. After I am done with that, I will move to HU for more detailed spots. After I am done with HU my focus will be exclusively on HH analysis for a while (lost hands). While doing HH analysis I will also focus on range vs range (naturally) and speed up process of visualizing my and opponents range on any given texture with different tendencies and actions in relation to bet sizings as well. Finally, will add optimal range vs range construction using CREV and continue with textures I have written down for studying.
All these things mentioned above will happen on 1st study session of the day. 2nd study session of the day will be implemented after the grind with focus on HH review and spotting out leaks from both lost and won hands.
Very much look forward to every day and process of improving while setting right systems back in place (studying 1st thing, grinding steady and figuring out another study session in!).
