Poker Stars, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

Hero (SB): $5.32 (266 bb)
BB: $1.79 (89.5 bb)
UTG: $4.84 (242 bb)
MP: $2.26 (113 bb)
CO: $3.97 (198.5 bb) 25/24 3bet 16 (125 hands)
BTN: $2 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K♦: A♦:
2 folds, CO raises to $0.05, BTN folds, Hero raises to $0.18, BB folds, CO raises to $0.40

Flat or re-raise? If re-raise how far does it go before flatting? All in?

My thoughts were even though only have a small sample he had 16% 3bet already, so unless he has been very lucky with hole cards it isn't the strongest range, he is also doing it from CO making it wider again.

Thoughts?

I think flatting is the best option here. You keep his range wide (hands you dominate), your hand is suited and the price is very good. Getting it in 200bb doesn`t seem very good to me vs regular. If you want to 5bet something in between $0,80 - $0,90 should be ok. All in is too much with this stacks.

We cannot fold here. call and see the flop as played.
When so deep you cn think of flatting preflop, as AchillesBG suggested.

Cheers guys. Think I might start reopening tables to not get so deep stacked as I don't do very well at it. :f_mad:

So, we can´t go all in with AKs there, because we are deep? I´m not really sure in deep stacks, but if it was normal, I´d go for 5 bet, because villain seems to be aggressive and after flop we have no position, so it will be kinda tough and I´d recommend to play this hand aggressively preflop, as villain´s ratio of 3bet is pretty big. However as I said, I don´t play with more than 200BB, so those are uncharted waters to me.

I´d recommend to do you so, I was dealing with this problem not long time ago myself and for me works to leave tables when I reach 200BB. Of course if u want to work on deep stack strategy this is not optimal solution :).

I ended up going All in eventually. Against a tightish all in range AKs has a min 45%+ and I have seen some crazy all in's from steal positions happen quite regardly. That teamed with his 3bet stat I think I probably would rip it in again to be honest. If I flat an A could kill action if he has 99-KK but then I could dominate lowwer A or out flush someone... Who said poker was simple :f_mad:

He had AA, which is typical.

3b stat is irrelevant for125 hands...
