SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J♦ A♠

Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, SB calls 2.6 BB, fold

Flop: (7 BB, 2 players) A♣ 9♥ 7♥
SB checks, Hero bets 3.6 BB, SB raises to 12.8 BB, Hero calls 9.2 BB

Turn: (32.6 BB, 2 players) Q♣
SB bets 23 BB, fold,

Villain is maniac as I got from previous hands with him in play. The bet is pot sized and could be a way to get a heart. My plan for the turn was to barrel 1/2 psb. But the turn bet with that Q is no good so I bailed.

Why we can't call? He can do this with 2pair, sets or flush draw, right?
i think the sets, 2 pair It is the smallest part of his range.
You told us he is maniac, because of that i think he can have more flush draws . If we assume he can have more FD in his range we can call, because we are ahead.
Your plan OTT sounds fine, i would play in the same way he didn't bet

He has 8 hands on villain so we cannot say he is maniac.
Turn is a fold.

For now I'd fold but keep an eye on this person.

OP, let me ask you this- when you call the flop c/r, what turns are you continuing on? Your plan of barreling the turn isn't generally going to work as often given you're going to face a bet very frequently on the turn after villain c/r-s the flop. I'm not necessarily saying you should call this turn bet; just that you need to think about your future action and plan. If you don't know what turns and rivers you are going to continue on, it might just be a higher EV to just fold to the flop c/r.

Yes you can be right, but if I fold to every flop with TPGK after a x/r wouldn't be that a weak line and exploitable? I found some regs at NL2 that did that with air until I adjusted.
I'd barrel a blank, a heart, a jack and fold to further aggression. He doesn't donk the flop and is wet so if he as a set, he doesn't want another heart to appear, that's what is saying me he has a draw.
The turn bet is 2/3 of the pot and I don't really wanted to face a huge bet OTR with TPGK and I bailed.

if you are going to fold versus a checkraise you should probably go over your cb range :)

Can you go deep in your statement please?

Well if the range that you're cbetting can't handle a raise, then it will most likely play better as a xb and then delay cb it.

Well, that makes sense definitely. But I'm giving a free card to those villains who has FD/other draws. in this board I see is ok a cbet, what is not ok is to call the x/r if my hand can't really improve at the turn... Bu tI still see this line weak with TPGK, anyway think vs unknown villain is what it's: a fold.

I personally would just fold the flop. Yeah he can have draws but that's the best thing in our opponents range for us to be vs, and he still has a ton of equity if so.
Plus if he bets again ( which he did) we have to fold OTT.

Yes. What hands we would like to see on turn? A and J? Maybe if we would fold vs a turn bet we can fold on flop.
