Fold river????

why no bet on turn?
as for river TJ made it. if he had an 8 i think he would surely bet turn aswell. same as if he had decided to call loose with 57s or 7Ts wich seems unlikely. you are getting 4/1 to call though. I probably call but im sure someone will be along soon to tell me i am wrong.

I mostly agree. Although another possibility (albeit not very likely) is that Villain flopped a FH with pocket 66 and checked the turn behind hoping Hero would hit something OTR to get more money out of him as a bet on the turn would have scared off all the Ax type of hands Hero might raise from UTG. JT may be a possibility as well.

With the path you have taken in the hand, I am inclined to fold here. IMO the problem here is that the only two things you beat is a bluff or an AQo type of hand which could have called you pre flop (and even that would not likely raise the river) and without seeing any stats or history on the villain it would be tough for me to call. QJ or KQ would either fold on the flop or just called OTR. Villain would possibly 3bet preflop QQ-AA, so that is not very likely. If he had an 8, he would likely bet the turn.

Anyway, I would always bet the turn here, that way you would have known a lot better where you stand in the hand.

His play line makes no sense at all, I know all this stuff about mini raises being extremely powerful but this guy checks on the turn when a possible fd opens and bets on a queen (he can't possibly have a set of them)

I find it very hard to fold to min click fish here. There is no need to slow down on the turn, You get value from sooo many hands. Just play standard micro lines of value bet, value bet, value bet... until they give you a reason to think you are behind. I think most people are floating loads here on dry board in position, they are also calling a lot worse hands thinking they have the best hand. If you bet 3 streets and he raises then maybe I can fold, but after checking the turn and 1/2 psb the river you look weak and induce bluffs too from weaker non thinking players

I see no reason in not betting turn. Villain has no specific hand that he hits OTF but a range of hands.
My instincts tell me to fold as well OTR but the line you took was not the most optimal IMO.
