Hey Habit! Yeah I hope for good weather too. Next week it will be bad but afterwards when our vacation starts it should be nice and sunny according to GFS.

As for poker: can't grind this weekend. There's a lot of housework to be done and I don't wanna do all this stuff on vacation. I have to put all the winter clothes away, getting our wardrobe ready for sping and summer, there are a couple of things to be repaired or improved........etc.......wanna have all the housework done by the end of next week.....

Finally: a quite okay winning session even though still running under EV but winning is winning! Won most of my DONs on Party and could make a 2nd and 3rd places in the SnGs on 888 - no first place thanks to loosing against 3-outers, but anyway: better than nothing right? Further, there is some winning from PLO on 888.

Honestly, I don´t like the SnGs at 888 but the PLO tables.

Hand of the day:

Here I (sit and) go again....

Again a little plus today, everything seems to return slowly to normal. I´m back at my limits now (1.10-2.20) and could win two SnG, get second once and a couple of times third. Besides won some DONs; also a PLO-DON.

As I already mentioned, I don´t like the SnGs at 888, don´t like the format, don´t like the zero fold equity, so I will look for another nice room with good traffic.... (and a good bonus and rakeback system).

Not as bad as it seems

Well, today I ran again not so good, lost 3 times with AA and once with KK and got a lot of bad cards: 3 buy-ins down today. So far, my graph is dancing around break-even this week. Took a look back at my big downswing: It´s not sooo bad as it seems like when your in the middle of it. The downswing took "only" about 12% of my BR, I managed to keep the losses as small as possible. Yes, I went down one or two limits and yes, Jared Tandler does not recommend that but I do this for practical reasons. Why the heck should I loose 80 Dollars when I can loose only 30, huh? --> please, please no revival of the old discussions about that, we discussed this topic in this blog before :f_ugly:

Anyways, a about 10% BR loss is not the apocalypse. I´m kind of proud to have made it through a long loosing phase because I have never done this before. You know what I did as a CG-player 8 years ago? :f_ugly: Cashed out, took a break, spent some of the BR (or even ALL) and then after a couple of weeks break, cashed in a small amout again, grinded up again ....till the next downswing...then the same procedure as at every downie: cash out, spend some money, take a break and come back in a few days or weeks. Yeeeah :f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly: I know!! But well, I was and I still am a recreational player, but this time I really wanna build a bankroll: so no sportswear (bought my new sportswear from my honorarums not from my BR last week!!!), no perfume, no new shoes (anyway difficult with a damaged achilles tendon)!!!

Just to briefly mention it: It´s hard to find elegant shoes when your achilles tendon is not well - have to wear soft and comfortable sneakers & such stuff. Found only ONE pair of elegant shoes which I can wear at the moment. (Oh, very much girls´stuff haha, but maybe there are also women who read this blog and I´m sure they understand me).

I see you're learning to deal with it, you can be proud of you indeed _thumbsup:

And honestly who needs new shoes when you already have a new pretty avatar, aka the virtual equivalent of a new haircut ? :P

My return to iPoker

Guys, my decision is made: Gonna cash out from 888 and return to iPoker. There are also plenty of fishes. But because I´m not tracked at Everest, I have chosen Ladbrokes (it´s the same). Gonna practice the 6-max-hypers a bit in order to get into them again. Looking forward to play at iPoker again, had good results there and good memories. Actually I like Everest very much but I an not tracked there _cry:. I made an account there before I came here. But anyways, Ladbrokes and bet365 (where my tracking didn´t work - don´t know why) are the same as Everest.

But before I play there, I have to go to Berlin and renew my Hungarian passport (don´t have German citizenship, even though I always claim to be German but home is where I feel at home, no matter which country). At the moment I get back into those games by playing at Everest again.

I´m happy to be back at iPoker! _thumbsup:

And I hope I won´t create a bankroll-mess! _ugly:

The rehearsal

Well, today was my "rehearsal" at iPoker. Played 6-max hyper DONs and 6-max turbos on Everest. Besides, had a 2€ ticket left which I used for a 6-max hyper DON. And won! _drink: So my little "rehearsal" session went well and I could come out with a little winning. Further, I noticed I got better: having a better feeling for the push/fold ranges, got better postflop and could also improve in heads up! It´s a great feeling when your work (ICMizer, pretty pretty charts) is getting rewarded. My weak point will still be the mental game but on this I have to work even harder. I have to find my way how to deal with variance, the book "The Mental Game of Poker" gives you the basics for that. But we are individuals and everyone must find his own way, based on the book. I still haven´t found it but I keep on searching....

Hey guys,
thank you! _drink: Well, the rake at iPoker is a bit a pain in the anus but the rakeback system is cool which makes up for the high rake. You get freeroll tickets for MTTs (1K Series and 5K Series) where you can win tickets for higher buy-ins (that´s how I could build my BR on Everest quickly) you can get cash for your summit- merit- or whatever-points or you can exchange them for tourney tickets. I still have a 50€ tournament ticket on Everest which is valid till November this year but I still don´t know what to play? Besides the freerolls the MTTs at iPoker are not really the best so very probably I will play a 50€ Sit and Go or DON. The rakeback system is better than on Party.

I plan to play on iPoker as well as on PartyPoker. Will split the BR, probably 50:50.

Herzlichen Dank! Der hohe Rake ist wirklich doof, ja. Aber bei iPoker krieg ich noch echt cooles Rakeback, das macht´s wieder ein bisschen wett. _biggrin:
