Hello,

how should I play a set on such a scary flop ?
I doubt that my allin was the correct play...

Best regards
Dominik

P.S. Sorry for posting it in the wrong section...I couldn't change it anymore

I have moved your thread to the discussion board for you, but I would bet approximately 2/3 pot on a scary board for value and protection and her-evaluate on further action. Now you get most likely only action of a flush or in best case an ace high flush draw.

Cheers,

Do you play toppair, twopair or straights the same way on such flops ?

I would play those hands the same way with Cbetting. Off course I would fold top pair earlier than a better made hand on a wet board like this multiway if someone is raising.

In micro sakes shove, you get called so often it makes it ok at this level
if you bet 50% of the pot and get called the whole way you will win an extra 1197
meaning te shove only has to be called 1 in four times to make the same, and at this level its called more than one in 4

At any other level a shove will only be called by better hands and is very -ev.

Should bet 60% pot, if another spade comes be prepared to check down or give up the hand

i dont like the shove here. you are only roughly 50% to win this pot against unkown hands.
if you are called you are likely out, or needing to dodge just one more spade or possibly any overcard J,Q,K,A.
even the check before you can be a trap.
if i hit a nut flush here in early poisition, i check and let opponents hang themselves by betting in to me. Only if the board is paired would i not check it (for risk of full houses by showdown)
so a bet of 3/4 pot to pot size will let you find out where you are. information that will help make your next decision.
smaller than 75 percent pot bet will give opponents pot odds and will encourage any 4 flushes to float their draws.
Pot size, its likely only overpairs, or strong or nut 4 flushes that call. made flushes may choose to reraise you, then you know what to do.
