hows your thinking process in this hand?

Easy call. Weird check back on the turn. No sense at all.

Honestly? Scared of the flush and scared of an A or K. I just keep running into huge hands and I've gotten really caught in the switches as a result.

Because time and again I'll bet turn in this spot, they'll call (let's say I bet around 50 or so), river will come down with an A, K, or complete the flush and they'll value bet or shove. It just keeps happening.

You miss alot of value against many hands by checking turn here, + you give away free card , in long time it will cost you alot of money if you make decisions based on fear.

Poker is and can be a very frustrating game bad beats will happens alot but only thing you can really focus at is makeing the right decision in every situation, i would highly recommend a book called the mental game of poker by Jared Tendler

His stats indicate he opens too much, thus there's no need for more than 3x raise (especially CO vs BTN)

Because the range you represent after checking back the turn looks a lot weaker then QQ.
Checking the turn isn't an option here, we should be betting to get value out of his draws and pairs.

I would play pre and flop just like you, but I don't see why you check back on the turn. There is no ace nor king so the board is perfect (not scary) for QQ.
You want and have to extract value from lesser hands and let draws pay for seeing river.
For me, an overpair is bet - bet - bet until you get raised.

As played, I guess you have to call river. You showed weakness OTT, he will try to bluff river quite often. Sure he could have hit a flush or happen to have a K but a bluff is more than likely bc you checked back turn.

If you had bet turn, and he donks you OTR, a fold is probable oke.

I understand. I'm definitely experiencing a bit of monsters under the bed syndrome lately. I looked at my hand histories and yeah...a couple weeks ago I was always betting in this spot and after getting repeatedly beat by the 3 or 4 combos in the deck that could, I started backing off tremendously post flop.

I think everything I was gonna say is already said.
I don't really see any reason to check the turn. And when you do so, I think calling the river should be ok. You represent a weak hand by checking OTT and villain is going to bluff you often.

Your decision seems to be quite emotional. I would also recommend The Mental Game of Poker 1&2 for you :) Those books helped me with my tilting problems.

I think this is largely mental, too. I was doing well and then had some turbulence in my personal life and sure enough - that's when the downswing started. Considering that mental game has always been my weak point in poker, I don't think that's just a coincidence. Let me go look at more hands from around that time and just prior. I'm sure there's a stark post flop difference.

When you bet OTF and check OTT, you represent 8x or nothing imo, OTR he can have better hand, but your hand is strong enough to beat his Tx and random bluff.

Yeah, last night and this morning I started double barrel bluffing against boards villain's range doesn't hit well and also bluffing small river pots of 10-20 bb's in size so that the table sees it. They're recs and they read into small sample sizes way too much. There's a lot of value to get from their overestimation.

On a hand late last night one of the guys told his friend (it's BetOnline - the recs all know each other and try to collude lol) "watch it" when I led out on the flop "this guy don't have a fold button!"...meanwhile I was holding top set. So, I just wound up auto shoving turn, he insta called with top pair and nobody said anything else for a while.
