Just wondering if I should have checked the river, or if my value bet was ok.

Thanks!

In a 4-handed game, I would normal 3bet JJ pre-flop. The rest of the hand seems fine to me and I would most likely bet around half pot on river, but this is fine as well for value.

Cheers,

I would also 3bet pre.
If you bet the river I would go a bit smaller.

I was working this hand out in Flopzilla street by street, and im guessing he had a backdoor flush draw. When you checked im guessing he bet to get you to fold.. so he never hits his draw and can assume you have him beat, so my guess is he would fold to any bet really...

This question is for SDK and LAI, do you guys think the villian will stay in for a 1/4 bet? He doesnt have a 10 likely, and I dont think he has a set of 5s or 7s because I think he might call in that spot, hoping the Hero doesnt have a flush or set of 10s.

Just curious the mindset on the smaller bet on the river based on the hands he could have.

Thanks

In addition to draws he could also have pretty much any pair weaker than Tx I guess. Maybe he can check Tx OTT because he is afraid of the flush.
But yea you are right that on this board he will likely fold a lot. Because I don't see many weaker hands that would call I think checking is good. And if we decide to bet it should be smaller to invite calls from 66 or 8x or something, and ofc we fold vs a raise.

Honestly Mario I'm pretty sure he was just c betting, I remember he was a semi decent player and was cbetting over 60% of flops . When he saw I called I think he just shut down.
