Do you think fold is ok itlr?
Thanks

You could consider to 3bet this hand I think, but as played I don’t see a good reason for the BTN player to change his hand into a bluff on flop or turn against an all-inn player and I would fold the turn as well.

3bet oop with a hand that is going to miss most flops and in case of overpair+fd can't happily stackoff because opponent might have nfd is a bad idea.

Flop call is already speculative, as opponent bets big into an empty side pot. Basically hero is drawing a flush or hopes to get to showdown with overpair. If spade comes on the turn, how is hero going to get value for it? Call on the flop is not THAT bad, but being oop the turn is going to be hard to play profitably. If the pot was HU it would be a little different, but here BTN range on the flop is a lot stronger than what it would be in "normal" HU pot.

^^ Makes sense. I was happy to see he had A♠:7♠:A♥:9♥: Overpair + 2nd nfd for me and only 5% otf

Should he be betting that hand on the turn? Especially if hero folds overpairs with 2nd nut fd?

Opponent doesn't know what hero is folding. :) And yes, he should be betting instead of giving free card.

why? Seems like villain's isn't getting much value against the calling range (given KK+fd folds). Also there aren't many bad cards for his hand (T/8/J (not or ).

I think itrl most players won't fold my hand; I happened to sense strength and knew I would get the info about his barreling and size even by folding. Also, it's nice to have some hands that can barrel into a possible str8 and still be able to call a x/r.

Villain is flipping against straight, and can get value from draws only on the turn. And by betting the turn he can get another valuebet if opponent makes the smaller flush. Here hero might have a hand like KQT which has 20% equity. Why give it for free when he can get value from it? I don't understand what villain achieves by checking the turn, as opponent isn't going to bluff many rivers.

Why wouldn't KQT bluff many rivers if it goes x-x ott?

When turn goes c-c, BTN doesn't have T8. 2/3 of rivers complete a flush or higher straight, and besides four cards (non-flushin A,2) it completes another straight. Opponent can bluff for sure, but it's not THAT good spot, as nearly all rivers can improve BTN's hand easily to a calling/raising hand.

If we compare turn bet or turn check and then potential bluff catch/valuebet on the river, I think that turn bet has much higher EV. Opponent has something when he calls the flop, and he has that same something on the turn. And by betting turn there is a chance to get another bet in on the river. Checking turn limits BTN to get just one bet as value, IF villain bluffs the river or calls with worse hand. I would go for bigger price when the hand is so strong.

Shev's example was KQTx. Is that hand folding the turn? It still has 20% versus BTN actual hand, so against BTN range it's more. I don't think that one is folding. So BTN has two options:
- Give free card to 20% equity and get one bet as value IF he bluffs it on the river
- Get one bet as value by betting himself and get more IF villain bluffs the river or calls another valuebet.
