A4o preflop vs agressive fish

I don't like the minraise because it looks weak and he is agressive so he will often 3bet. If he calls you are out of position against a aggressief player. If i raise i would make i at least 3xBB but i would probably shove or fold. I like shoving more than folding but that maybe to loose....

I think i just shove here especially against a agressive player

With the big antes in play shoving seems fine. It makes it a lot easier without playing post-flop out of position and it’s also tough to play back on him if he makes a 3bet. Then you need to fold this hand.

At this blind level and stack sizes u have to resteal a lot. Firstly, those fishes don’t really pay attention to bet sizes, maximum I could bet here is 2.2BB. Secondly if I bet 3BB and he shoves I can’t call that one with A4o even if I would be 11BB left. So it is better to lose 2BB than 3BB.

I believe given the villain it's a push good situation.

I would actually evaluate if I have an edge on the table, if yes I could see me folding sometimes vs she aggro CL . If no, I would push more times than I would good here.

You are talking about stacksizes and resteal but the fish doens't pay attention on betsizes....

I had already indicated that my preference was to shove (or fold) because of the likelihood that he is going to call or 3bet in this spot. But how many times a agressief player (that is chipleader) is going to fold preflop 120 for a 435 pot?

I think u didn't understand me right. I agree with you that the best play here is just shoving as 1st action. I even agree that folding is better option than minraising/raising. But I was just saying that even worse mistake than minraise here is to raise 3BB, because those fishes play their cards not thinking about other ranges, bluffs etc. Basically if we consider here to raise then the best option in my opinion is 2-2.2BB max. I just think there is 2 options - fish have a playable/strong hand or he has a crap. In 1st variant he will defend/3-bet no matter if we bet 2 or 3BB. In 2nd variant he will fold.
I just wanted to say that in longterm if we try to steal with a raise then 2BB is much better than 3BB as we will not lose that much vs 3-bets or defends.

Thanks for the explanation. I just thought a minraise (or a little bigger) from SB just seems weak even for a fish.

From late position I understand that because if he calls you have position but now he can see the flop cheap and i think that even a fish understands that. So I would raise at least 3xBB (if you raise) and then imo he will call or raise less likely but maybe that's my leak...
