Hi all,
So I flopped a set of 10's in a multiway pot with three other opponents on a rainbow flop with two overcards. Happy days. Action is checked around to me and I make a value bet for just over 1/2 the pot. The pre flop raiser who is behind me in UTG+1 calls and everybody else folds. At this point I think that he could be calling with top pair, J10+ or any queen to give him an OESD. I am however beat by JJ, KK or QA which I fell are all in his range as pre flop raiser, however his check on the flop makes me feel a little better. Turn comes and it doesn't change anything with 6d, so I make another bet this time 2/3 of the pot. He calls and river comes 8s. I make a final bet of nearly a full pot and villain folds. I suspect that he had a queen and was looking for a straight, or maybe even an ace and playing a bit fishy.
Could I have played this any differently? Did I bet flop/turn too aggressively with the potential straight out there. Also could I have got more value on the river with a smaller bet? Id love to hear your thoughts.
