Was this push ok or was I suppose to fold because CO called ?

Personally, I wouldnt be pushing here.
I think the blinds are too small and the risk/reward just doesnt match up.
A8s may well be a pushing hand with no callers but realistically what are you going to get called by that you are beating? To risk your whole tourny at this stage to win 200 chips with a marginal hand is not worth it.
On the other hand, with the stack you have, I dont like calling that much and definately dont want to fold even though it is probably the preferred line.
All things considered I would probably call.
Reads here are important... A8s is a push 1st in but what is villain's limp/call range... many many villains simply can't fold here so you wanna be confident that you are ahead. They will often limp/call PPs, Ax, broadways, sometimes even suited connectors or trash, but generally depending on the villain I could either push/fold this hand. A8s is borderline imo...
Without a read its difficult to tell, but I just don't see many hands in a standard players limping range that have you crushed.
The only hands that have you crushed are 88,99,A9 and A10. I think TT+ would be raised by almost anyone from CO at this stage and same with AJ+.
All other hands are a coinflip at worst and to increase you stack by 20% I think its still worth it.
As he limps from CO which seems pretty weak to me I like the push. However, some reads might lead me to another decision.
