You are right that our hand is not very strong. However, this is BB vs SB, the ranges are wide and most of the guys like to cbet way more than what would be optimal. We have to defend here with some hands, otherwise we are just folding a lot. This hand can easily play like this: villain cbets crap, we call, villain checks OTT, we bet, villain folds. So, we don't necessarily have to hit anything strong to win this hand.

Any A,K,J,T,9 or a club gives us a pair or some kind of a draw. That is over half of the deck that gives us something.

This is fine I think. I've been talking to la55i about raising ranges post flop and I've started adding hands like this to my range. We don't have a lot, but we have some equity. We can raise in this spot quite often against opponents with even higher cbet stats.
