Wouldn't expect a 3b from AJ pre.
Looks like AA or AK.
Wrong to call here?

Call is fine. We cant fold AK in this spot like ever. If we fold AK on this board why are we exactly calling preflop ? What are we hoping to hit ?

Another way to play is to repop/stack off preflop. His shoving range would dominate us but i believe he would fold a ton preflop and we make money this way in the long run.

This is a passive - bad player, thus the correct move would be to fold the TURN.

I agree with Jakks, Villain is super tight player and youre in MP, so he will probably be even tighter. His 3B is as well on the tighter side. So when he takes that much agression the best I would expect when calling is a split. He will never do it with KK or worse and I dont think he's taking that line with AQ, but he can have AA, JJ, AJ, AK. Draws aren't there, so this is a strongly value heavy shove.

AJ is fine to bluff 3bet, because you have good blocker effects - you block AA, AK, AQ, JJ, so if you 3bet with AJ your Villains valuerange is smaller. If you got 4bet you have an easy fold.

I would usually 4bet (or simply shove) AK in MP vs BB 3bet because you are in position and in MP this will likely either way create tons of foldequity.

Dont do this sh*t... AK is a hand that wins mostly from 3bet or 4bet folds, not from all-in shove. Never shove AK when deep.

I had the feeling this was a bad play. At the time I just snapped it but then realized that it's actually a bad call here.
Just felt weird. Perhaps a 4b vs this guy.
What limits do you guys play?

AJo would be a quite standard squeeze pre. BB will be OOP against you (the original raiser) with an off-suit and dominated hand. I would say if he plays AJo here he should not call pre.

OTT villain overbet shoves. Does he do that with weaker made hand? On this boad, with how many draws he can do this with (smibluff)? I would just give up.

If we fold AK on this board why are we exactly calling preflop ?

I wouldn't necessarily use that logic. This hand can play out many different way. The boards can be different and the action can be different. We can't justify bad calls by thinking like this. When we know we are beat we should fold.

@Jakks: in this hand the effective stack is just round about 100BB. I totally agree with you, that in MP it isn't best move to shove AK; in blind vs button-type situations you get calls from many many weaker hands against who you dominate or at least have a coinflip. In combination with the foldequity a shove produces it is certainly no -EV move. Additionally, you have blocker effects, yes, I would not think twice about shoving in this blind-vs-btn spot. In MP it is definitly a 4bet, again, you have strong blocker effects and a strong perceived range when 4betting. The guy with 6.67% 3bet certainly has a lot of weaker hands he has to fold, and postflop you're in position.

@Cloven... Indeed its 100bb effective, should have thought its NL5 :) still... do you 4-bet shove AA vs 3-bet or you 4-bet non-all-in? If you only 4-bet shove hands like AK and 4-bet non-all-in AA, KK, QQ, than this is exploitable I guess...

VS thinking player who tries to have a play vs me, i would even 5-bet shove some poor hand like T9o just because there is a lot of dead money. In this hand though dead money is not the much to risk a whole stack vs tight player.

I would mind my game play not getting any "bad" habits, since it would be very hard to remove them and playing like on NL25+ would be really devastating for the bankroll. There are plenty of NL10 regs as well, some of them - not that bad...

This is my thinking process - it is not necessarily correct though

There is relatively a lot of dead money, so shove vs 3b might be the best move. It would be even better if u were oop, ip im not so sure about it. You dont have to be balanced there, play ako only this way. Opp cant do much... and I disagree that ppl will notice this, lets say up to nl100. And if yes, its still +ev move imo. Just do the calculations, what villain would have to call there to exploit you.

And ott i agree with foldin, this spot will be underbluffed imo, so you can overfold. I didnt run it in solver but i think villain would have to bluff 65s ott for example and i dont think that happens.
