A free shot at a $1 million prize pool
Starting on September 25 PokerStars will be hosting the RUB 132,000 ($2,125) EPT Open Sochi Main Event - a reduced buy-in version of the European Poker Tour with a RUB 60,000,000 ($1 million) guarantee and a $30,000 Platinum Pass to the winner.
Because we have such a strong presence in Russian poker, PokerStrategy.com has teamed up with PokerStars to give our players a package to this event worth the following:
- RUB 132,000 (approx $2,135) Main Event seat
- 6 nights’ accommodation for you and one guest at Sochi Marriott Krasnaya Polyana Hotel, CHECKING-IN September 24th and CHECKING-OUT September 30th. This hotel reservation includes breakfast for the player and one guest.
- $280 deposited to your PokerStars account to help toward your travel expenses
We will be hosting a special PokerStars tournament on Sunday September 2 at 19:00 CET with a buy-in of $10. The winner will get the package and the rest of the tournament will pay out as per the standard PokerStars payout structure.
Qualify for free
This promotion is open to everyone, not just PokerStrategy.com tracked PokerStars player, and you can earn a free ticket to play by doing one of the following three things:
- Share this article on Twitter or Facebook between August 6 and August 26
- Post ten times in our strategy forums between August 6 and August 26 (legitimate posts, any posts that do not add substance will not be counted)
- For new players, open up a PokerStrategy.com tracked PokerStars account between August 6 and August 26, make a deposit and collect 1 StrategyPoint
Once you have done one of the three things, post in this thread with proof and your PokerStars username by August 26 and we will credit your account with a tournament ticket.
- For the social media shares, post a link to your tweet or Facebook post
- For the ten strategy posts, just tell us you chose that option and we can tell by your screen name
- For new PokerStars sign-ups make sure you put your PokerStars username in your profile.
Please note that you will have to be willing to travel to Sochi in September and immediately apply for a VISA to visit upon winning (we will contact the winner about that), if this is not the case the 2nd place finisher will be awarded the package.
