after having signed up to PokerStars here, in 6 months I have not seen 1 PokerStars promo/freeroll

Pokerstars got a huge amount of players, thats why they dont have as much promotions as other sites.

Go under tournaments/freerolls or VIP and you should find some :).
There are:
-newton etc. freerolls with 9000 people where there is no entry fee, first 80 or so get a ticket to the 2k freeroll (it's called weekly round 2).
-10FPP buy-in tournament with a 500$ prize pool
-20FPP buy-in tournament with a 1000$ prize pool
-various monthly/weekly freerolls for higher VIP statuses (can be found under the VIP tab in the tournaments tab)
As for the promotions, there is an instant cash bonus promotion going on in May and June, giving you some nice instant cash bonuses for your FPP :).
