12 buyins in EV. Welcome to the world of variance. And yes, that is possible and somewhat unavoidable in the long run too.

YES! It is possible! Variance can be very cruel!

I rather think that Villains make some terrible calls and hit the board more or less hard while you don´t. During a downswing you get also 99 % junk hands, so you fold a lot. Or you fold postflop cause you totally missed the flop and your hand became worthless.

@Tomaloc It sounds funny but it really is how you say

@Primrose6789 Exactly this. Lets say i have AKo BTN vs EP i 3bet and miss board not 2/3 of a time but like 3/3, even if there's Qhigh flop i make 2 barrels and give up river couse villain will never fold even to overbet allin. I have no idea how i survived 30k hands with 70$ bankroll on nl 5 when now in 1 week i lost 100$, and its really not about that money but time that i have to grind it back :f_mad: . But well guys.. never give up on swings!

Yeah, that´s typical: You have A♠ K♠ and the flop somes 5♦ 6♦ 7♥ woooohooo! Or you jam (tournament player) with K♠ K♣ you´re looking forward to double up, but oops, BB wakes up with A♥ A♠ or you have aces, the flop looks harmless and at showdown you find out that donk made 2-pair with 96s or some other strange random hand. Donk get there with some random hands, completing some "exotic" draws against you, and when it comes to all-in situation (tourney) then you loose with 99 % of the hands, including premium hands.

Ye, also there's a feeling that you know you're beat but you have to call to make sure " was he really calling those bets with gutshot and got there otr "and i call the raise :f_thumbsup: super

1. Work harder on your game. If you think it's good, you are most likely wrong.
2. Poker is not supposed to be "really big fun" because of winning. Try to be happy with a good decision even if it loses money.
3. Don't try to win a session, but rather give yourself a grade from 1-10 after a session based on your performance.
4. This is false "will get called only by better set"! Need more math work.

No! You don't have to call. You don't need to make sure. Also, need a math work.
Question: Villain bets 50%PSB on the river. How often we need to be ahead to profitably call?

Really motivating post AthleticAz, thank your for that.:f_drink: Still trying to improve my game with better and worse results but its going forward i hope. At the graph from around 17k hands i was getting beat all the time in flips and better pocket pairs in allin situations but i was pretty okay with that cause i knew i made good decision in long run. What brings me down the most are normal situations like 3bet pots that you constantly cant hit anything or you got sucked out by gutshot :f_mad:. But for sure tilt took huge part in that swing, since around 47k hands i started playing mega aggrotard style and that cost me alot of buyins but i stopped in time.

Math is the worst aspect of my game for sure and its also pretty hard for me to determine starting point of learning it but i will get into it somehow. Also answering your question : I believe we need to be right 1 out of 4 times. :f_thumbsup:

Very unlucky turn but would fold J♦ 9♦ pre against an UTG-raise.

short answer: yes

long answer: yes it is.

and about j9.. subpar play is often played because of subpar mindset. You are in a downswing and sometimes a bad play or two sneaks in. Now we learn from it and get over it and just play your best until downswing is over.
