Would you ever get away from this? 3bet pot with KK

Really precious advices, thank you for that. I slowly begin to understand what its all about but yet dont know enough to change my playstyle. It is how you say i usualy have some betting pattern and when something goes wrong i just give up/fold. Here's another hand from today ( no reads on oponent but i got coolered couple times in todays session so it went as u can see below. ) :

@edit folded there cause im pretty sure it would be allin otr and somehow vission of stacking of with JJ against raise from sb vs ep didn't looked ok to me. But then maybe im just too nitty after couple coolers.. no idea.

Well, he has all the OP. You have JJ. You are allowed to fold here. It's still NL5. And you have yet better hands to call with (namely more or less all the sets, 89, broadways FD). JJ can fight another day.
Or it can't. Such crappy hand it is in 3bet pot from UTG.

Opening 2,6 BB at micros might be overkill. Keep that for when you're gonna move up to midstakes

Opening 3x everywhere (and about 2,5x BU) at rake-heavy and fish-heavy stakes is more efficient.

Chess players spend ridiculous time working on their game besides simply playing chess games, and poker is really a game of the same type and same complexity, so it's somewhat amazing that most poker players (including me) tend to often underestimate that important part of the work, and then they just hope they'll magically know what to do in game when playing...
Poker would be so easy (read : so uninteresting lol) if it worked that way !

I think what makes people really progress is aknowledging and taking advantage of the type of growth period and motivation you can extract from what you've been saying here :

That's the best part of the metagame for me. You are thinking, discovering, progressing, and enjoying it ! Pieces begin to come together and show you parts of new landscapes. You see you have still a lot to do but you are not feeling lost without any direction to take whatsoever (which is the worst feeling at poker).
It's important to get the most out of these periods and manage to recreate them each time you end up into a skill plateau again.
Because that always comes back. Poker would be so easy (uninteresting) if not.

Joke aside, don't make the common mistake of complaining about your AIEV that means shit. Given your results there should be something to work on in your game. But you could be close to crushing.

I agree 100% also what can add from myself that you never know which solution is good, maybe you did something right and got punished or other way you're doing things wrong and gets rewarded from time to time. But after 3 months of break-even play im not tired ( well maybe a bit ) and wanna keep playing.

Haha yeah i was running like god in this time, winning every flip, any 50%~ draw, every flop after my 3bet with AK in my hand was smashed hard but then well ♦ had to throw that ring away and wake up :f_biggrin:.

And about EV lane - noo im ok with that i just know i made some good decision and thats enough for me:f_thumbsup:.

I also had a 40k hand downswing this year. Stop playing for a few weeks and try to reset your mind.

40k is like half of this graph above.. sick huh, yeah i will take some break maybe not weeks but couple days will be ok for me, meanwhile i can try to find some interesting stats in my hud from all these hands
