I have a note that button 3-bets a wide range vs late opens, so I decide to go for a 4-bet bluff. Plan is to fold to shoves.

I think that the only hand he flats with is AK, so I just give up on the hand.

I decide to go for a small bluff on the river - since he checked behind twice I think his hand is really weak.

Very weird hand. I don't really know if AJ'o is a good hand to 4bet-bluff from the SB.
He shouldn't have any 4 here, and neither do you.
With that size OTR any PP (TT-QQ) has a full-house and would call after you 4bet and check twice. At least I would.
He didn't have AK or KQ's. Maybe you look like a monster slowplay, but checking twice is weird with KK, AA because there are hands he can call you with.
I'm a bit lost.

The thing that bugs me the most about this hand is the flat preflop. I don't even have a flat 4-bet range, it's just shove or fold vs a 4bet for me...
So based on that it is probably just a very weak player, calling with some weird hand and then folding river when he misses completely. No idea how I am supposed to play this though :f_grin:

Why not but put 1/4 flop instead of waiting awkwardly.

A lot of people are building 4bet flatting ranges these days. It's becoming somewhat normal. In saying that, if an unknown is flatting a 4b, the odds definitely are that they are a fish.

I agree with Floxy here, I'm betting 1/4 pot on the flop and giving up after that.

Don't see the point in betting the river as played, anything better is surely calling and everything worse is folding.

After years of disappointment with get rich quick schemes, I know I'm gonna get rich with this scheme, and quick!

Yeah there is even a video from Asimos about calling 4bets OOP so it's definitely not a fishy thing nowadays. If you only 5bet or fold you are simplifying things for your opponents way too much.
