So your question is what to do in a weird spot where you should never get in the first place and where everyone else hasn't any real idea how to play since they sure as hell never get into it themselves ?

I am learning poker from scratch, obviously I am going to make a lot of mistakes at the beginning. But I pasted this hand in order to ask if there is some calculation/thought process that could give me an answer - what is more probable - CO's straight or CO's dwo pair. There is always something new I can learn.

As played I would probably also call the river. It is a bit over half pot and your hand is quite strong and underrepresented. But I'm not thrilled about this spot. I might raise already OTF but at least that turn needs to be raised.

I just hate that X/C on turn. Even against one opponent it’s like you’re looking for trouble, and against two trouble is guaranteed. Any heart and any face card on river either beats you or kills your action. Just try to get it in while you’re ahead. What I think MyFloxyBaby is telling you, no one can help you on river, because you made big mistake earlier in hand and now there’s no good or bad play, it’s just guessing game.

thanks for reply. So if I made huge mistake earlier, discussing hand after that mistake makes no sense, because that raise should be always done earlier. Fully understood, thanks.

Since we just don't play those spots with that kind of range it's hard to tell, at least I am quite bad at it.
The way I formulated it was probably overly cynical, especially to someone that isn't used to me here yet, but it was not meant to bring shame to your mistake or what. I just always talk like that.
So just bear with it. Or complain to la55i and he'll release his pet polar bear on me.

I do definitely raise turn when another player is behind otherwise i will consider calling behind.

I really have to check some more of lemon's streams, the guy knows his stuff and seems to joke around aswell. I dig that.
