You can just flat pre or 3bet bigger.

As played don't donk that turn it's not a good one for your range and it's NL2 they won't think about what you represent anyway.

But @floxy, would you also x/f if you choose to 3bet here?
My default would be a cbet to rep the higher pockets we can have and the caller would normally 4bet.
But maybe that's not a good practice?

I can see the reasoning behind your line, but I dont think that this play is winning in the long run.

preflop: decide wether to 3-bet or to flat, your play is something in between, 3-betting smallish OOP does not create a profitable situation for us in general. Also might there be a chance, that you would 3-bet higher with your better holdings, so that you reveal some kind of sizing-tell?

flop: would c-bet about 1/3 pot on this flop as I'd do with the majority of my range, but if I'm checking, im x/folding.

turn: as played, I'm x/folding, the king might slow him down and maybe he just stabbed the flop once and is now done with his hand, we still do have SD-value at this point.

river: as played you chose the right play imo.

If I might give you some advice in general: try to determine your range preflop in this exact spot and take a look, how your range performs on this flop. Is this a good flop for your range or do you think it is better for villains range? What are your weakest hands here, what are your best hand? Is your range capped or do you have all the nuts-hands, is villains range capped? Where does AdJh stand here in the hierarchy of your range and what does that tell us?

If you have difficulties in 3-bet pots OOP just avoid it. Don't 3-bet with hands like this one. And such a small sizing is realy bad. You 3-bet AJo vs CO, not because AJo is the best hand in the world, but because you want to take the pot PF. And this will never happen with your sizing, CO is obliged to call you. Here as played x/f is fine, small CB and give up is also fine.

Well, as I'd never 3bet here it's kind of weird for me to imagine a decent whole 3betting range including AJo but I played a little on Equilab to humor you.
We don't like this texture at all. CO has all the nuts and us a useless broadway with bad removals. He can float a lot or raise etc.
I wouldn't expect CO to fold most PP, indoor and backdoor draws or even strong broadways on the first street. So betting once and praying feels like the worst strategy to me.

So, a lot of boards are bad for this hand. Even if we hit the ace or the jack we wont be clear ahead a lot.
Just call and hope to get it to showdown cheap..
I 3bet AJo only vs btn steals or in a good squeeze spot.
