Fave chapter of the satellite book. We have a chapter on Mega Satellites (where more than 10 people win a seat) and I really enjoyed that because its the aspect of satellites I enjoy the most. In a mega satellite one of the key skills is keeping an eye on the lobby and monitoring where you are in relation to your opponents. I played a hand during the writing of the book where I was 23rd of 23 and 22 win a seat, I had 3BBs and it folded to me with KK on the button. This is a shove in most cases, but I could see on another table that if I just folded, the blinds were going up and another player who was also short was going to blind out before I did. Its really exciting creeping into the money with a couple of big blinds in a mega satellite.

So are you saying folding KK was correct play on that spot? Could you offer mathematics to support this if that is the case? My out of hat assumption would be that shoving KK will still be better as other short stack has too big chance to double up to give up this spot. Of course on other table people should be aiming to team play short stack BB out but different question if it will happen.

You discover a djinni in a bottle. Sadly he tells you that getting rid of your stupid face is asking for too much. However, he offers you to chose between two whishes:
a) becoming the top No.1 poker player for a year, able to crush even any Highroller field.
b) becoming a savant author for a year, able to write a book that will go down into the History of literature.
Choose wisely though, because after that year you will return to your normal self, not being able to keep up with the feats of that year.
What do you choose, and why?

I can indeed offer the math.......tomorrow. Dara actually reviewed the hand and its going on his podcast tomorrow, which I shall share. Ultimately though its a close spot either way. It was a $109 sat to a $1050 so its quite fair to assume the other table would know to limp to bust the shorty (which they did, but he won)

Tougher than it first sounds because even the best poker player could run like shit, especially if the biggest games are live.

Assuming its a mainstream book (not poker) then deffo the book. In theory that could generate money for me long after I spent all that super high roller money on blow.

No this white streak of hair I have in the front of my noggin I've had since I was 9 (I am now 39) and is known in the UK at least as a 'Mallen streak'

Its a condition called Poliosis where you dont have pigmentation in that bit of your hair.

Of course you can imagine the nicknames I got

Badger
Skunk
Streak
Stupid ugly fat face wanker

Not quite sure what the last one had to do with my hair in hindsight

Very sick graphs.

Dara is actually beating him slightly for Sats on Stars

Do you know what slayers nickname is on other sites? Would be a fun guy to interview

Daras has played mainly MTT Satellites. Slayer plays mostly 6max Sats.
Looks like that we have a MTT-Sat god and a 6max-Sat god. Other name from slayer mhhm maybe this acc belongs to him:

Could be possible accordingly to the buy-ins.

Why dont you just give away more books?
