Joined PS a month or so ago, just found this thread.
Been playn poker for about 12 months - entered a 1000+ freeroll on 888, finished 3rd and won a chipset (flogged on ebay lol), realised I was probably half decent and since then found it was a safer investment than my sports betting (which I've now almost given up). I play anything and everything, my fav. is probably omaha tournies. I just like the action lol.

Great site, love the articles and looking forward to getting into the silver sections. Still to watch my first live coaching tho...

I have'nt played in a live tornament yet but am keen to do so, there are 3 clubs within 20 miles of me. I have a BR of $1.50 on stars and so gonna have to work hard if you guys and gals arrange another 'english' tourney there. But will deffo make the effort. Stars alias: 8nsh

We were getting about 20 players, until we had to stop having them due to rules. Since we have started getting them again we only fill up one table, but the more we have the more that will join each week.

I decided to invite all the English PS community, as there isn't enough of us in this thread. We do have alot of banter and everyone knows eachother on first name terms.

The tourneys were in the weekly roundup news, up until they got banned.

Now PokerStrategy don't want to have these tourney linked to their website, and don't want to encourage people to play in these private tourneys that I make. This is because PokerStrategy see this as encouraging people to play outside BRM, which imo is bullshit. But oh well.

If we don't start getting 20+ I may well be cancelling future tourneys anyway.

I don't mind if non-brits play. Theres non brits that do play, who are active in the community and we have good banter. It started off English only, but has spread to any active forum member in the English forums.

geordie grandad here who seems to make enemies pretty quick in forums, lol. not that i care too much about that. like football, poker is often a game of opinions, just some people dont like any opinion but their own. c'est la vie.

i see there are a few scousers around, good on yer fellas.

you organise private tourneys do you? where and when. i am always happy to play. i only do small stuff and am trying hard to improve my game. i wont be asking for much help here though, people dont like me doing that, lol.

i like a laugh and a joke and can give and take, shame more people cant do the same. never mind.

nothing much to look forward to these days. championship football does not exactly inspire me. its gonna be one long hard season i think. just have to hope shearer can do the business.

disabled at moment due to a nasty viral infection last yr, so have a lot of time on my hands, some might say too much, lol.
