After his raise you don't have much fold equity and with the flush draw I would do it as well. I expect he isn't check/raising with less than top pair or a flush draw or he's crazy.

What notes/reads did you have on Villain?

I haven't played Twister since 2016 and have never really studied the effect of antes, but intuitively, I'd default to minraising with T4s because the antes make the risk-reward ratio better (we need to put in 45 to win 55) and the population might still underdefend. (Well, if it overfolds even more to limp-stabs, then by all means, limp all the bottom hands.)

I don't like taking this one postflop because of the lack of connectivity (which implies that the hand benefits from a lower SPR if it does go postflop) and because there's an easy fold to a 3bet and not nearly as much SDV as with, say, K4o, however, it would suck to have to fold a suited hand to a 3 bb iso (though I could limp/3bet it to 6.7 bb as a bluff if I had a read :f_biggrin: ), so instead, I want to watch the flop for 2 bb with the initiative if I fail to win the hand pre.

On the flop, I don't want to have a difficult decision vs a c/r, so I'd strongly consider checking the flop back (and stabbing the turn instead) despite the lack of showdown value because there's a BDSD and an overcard. Worse draws like non-spade 85 would benefit more from taking the pot down with a stab/fold.

As played, there's no way we can fold on any turn, so 3bet-shoving the flop is good in case Villain decides to fold some random 7x/2x.

I must be the only one missing something here. Assuming crai means check/raise AI, how can you do so, when you're in position?

tony its a 1$ twister. Most of the time I have no reads. If I have developed smth due to the first hands I will write it as always. You are not choosing wheather you minaise or limp due to his style passive or active. Take a look due to the eff stack ;) and his overall poker skills postflop.

17 bb is yet deep enough for fancy play HU :f_tongue: Under 12 bb, I indeed mostly play limp-or-shove.

He might not 3bet often enough either and not flat nearly as wide as he should with the ante, and even if he does, the SPR of 3 is more comfortable than 7 for a FD+OC type of hand that's the usual way of hitting the flop for a suited middle+low card hand unless it hits a pair+.

The ante is what turns openfolds into limp/folds and some limp/folds into minraise/folds, makes the general dynamic more LAG.
