Hi,
I made deal this weekend with 5 left. On reflection I feel that I left some money at the table. Or basically did a poor deal for myself. After all it was 5.30am and was maybe not thinking too clearly?
Blind levels were now 25k/50k with a 25k big blind ante so stack could change quickly and with only 2.5 million chips in play we had a 10BB avg stack.
Stack sizes were:
1 - 750,000 (me)
2 - 680,000
3 - 420,000
4 - 420,000
5 - 260,000
Payouts were:
1 - £1750
2 - £1150
3 - £750
4 - £560
5 - £380
So we ran the numbers and did an ICM chop which resulted in these payouts:
1 - £1100
2 - £1050
3 - £900 (because the guy wouldn't budge)
4 - £850
5 - £650
I was pretty happy although at 42 years old weirdly I was the youngest guy left and the others looked fucked apart from one other competent guy. The other main point that has made me question the while deal was the issue of the last man standing prize of £285 which 4 of us were still a part of (£3 extra when entering tournament). We chopped that 4 ways with me taking the £75.
Does anyone have any thoughts on deal making and if this was a good deal considering such low stack sizes and stacks changing so quickly with just one blind steal?
Thanks
