PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.02/$0.05 - 7 players
Hand delivered by Upswing Poker

UTG (Hero): $5.00 (100 bb)
MP: $5.00 (100 bb)
MP+1: $5.00 (100 bb)
CO: $5.98 (120 bb)
BU: $4.60 (92 bb)
SB: $5.00 (100 bb)
BB: $8.56 (171 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.07) Hero is UTG with A K
Hero raises to $0.15, 2 players fold, CO calls $0.15, 2 players fold, BB calls $0.10

Flop: ($0.47) A 5 5 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.24, CO raises to $0.48, BB folds, Hero calls $0.24

Turn: ($1.43) 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $1.35, UTG (Hero) folds

Total pot: $1.43 (Rake: $0.06)
CO wins $1.37

Don't have the exact stats on CO but it was high vpip, low pfr. On the flop he raises only 2times my bet so i call, maybe a weaker A, fd, something like that. Turn however he makes it a pot bet so i decided to fold, it really seems to me like he has the 5, totally in his preflop range, on the flop maybe he doesnt want to bet big so i dont fold right there and once he got some action, bets big on the turn. Dont think he would make such a big bet with a draw or weaker ace. What do you guys think?

It's the micro's. People do random things.
Just like your AQ hand, we are on the top side of our range.
I'd probably call turn and river as well. I won't be happy about it. But are we only going to proceed with AA and 5x here?

I don't really agree with trommelboy. People at micro's are often quite predictable and passive (with the exeption of the maniacs).
I think the raise OTF means strength, especially bc it's 3way but we have to call
The potbet OTT in combi with the raise OTF looks strong and I would fold here too.

Yes, the majority of this guys are ultra passive, high vpips, low pfrs, close to 0 even sometimes, afraid to get their money in unless they have a big hand, or even if the board gets a bit wet for example, so most of the time i dont even think they are capable of raising the flop with just a top pair, same thing with my AQ hand i posted, thats why i dont even put an A in his range there. I dont know, i just feel this are exactly the situations i loose the most money in over and over again, just paying them off, again and again and again!! :f_mad: I even stopped playing for a while because of this, this guys just drove me crazy with how stupidly passive they can be :f_ugly: Dont know, maybe i am wrong, but thats why i play situations like that way more careful now.

I dont think folding is good here. He can overplay AQ AJ, or bluff or just have the FD. People do random stuff at the micros but they are also passive and predictable sometimes thats true.
Would he really autoraiseclick the 5 on the flop ? seems a bit weird to me, i call down.

how high vpip are we talking here? we can give him a lot of trash suited 5x, and maybe even connected offsuit.
i actually don't mind the fold but i think i'm sigh calling down too, just don't tilt when you get stacked.

Don't really remember the exact vpip on the player, many things happening at the moment of the hand, but he had the green label and all, the usual guy. Definitely has some fives in his range. So if this hand guys is a call for you i assume my AQ post is an absurd fold:D. I really have a hard time of convincing myself what's right in such situations, it feels like i am shooting in the dark. Some of you say that you dont mind the fold, but all in all it is a bad play i guess. So after all i am not folding such hands in such spots ever right? If i dont fold against these..... nice passive people:D than i am not folding to anybody ever, right?

I really don't think folding here is a bad idea, it could go either way.

Personally, I think I'd call down, especially against the green label guys . These players are often erratic and are capable of overplaying worse Aces, pocket pairs or FDs. Eventually we would lose to 5x, but I guess it wouldn't be a huge mistake... I'm a fish, though :) I could be wrong
