Hi. Unknown players.
3bet of utg raise and CO call looked very strong to me. I probably picked the worse possible option with cold calling 3bet and better is fold or 4bet/fold?

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes I would 4-bet fold this. I rather know straight away that I am against QQ+ then to pay off more on low number boards.
Also because CO flat calls we have to 4-bet. JJ is not good multiway.

As played do not c/r this on the turn. We are just going to run into premium. CO betting twice into multiway might will make me just check fold this on the turn I think. I would feel too uncomfortable to continue. Any broadyway card hands do not play the turn like this.

There are 3 ways of playing pocket jacks, and they're all wrong. :f_biggrin:
Well, tough hand I believe.
I like the call preflop. JJ doesn't play very well OOP if you 4-bet and get callers, and to a shove I would fold.
I would also check/call the flop.
On the turn, its hard to see what you are beating if CO bets again. To me it looks like he called the 3-bet pre with QQ+ and is trying to keep all overpairs in the pot.
Would be nice to get some advice from other players on this one...

4-bet fold is also an option, but you only have 50% chance of having an overpair with JJ on the flop. If you get a call preflop and an overcard on the flop, I might hate it even more than just calling preflop. If you 4-bet fold, you are mostly turning JJ into a bluff and could do the same thing with any other random hand. There are not alot of hands that you beat that will call a 4-bet imo. Only AK probably.

Totally agree about not c/r the turn.

Interesting. I'll consider calling some time then, but that would also mean we mostly have to play it for set value then as a lot of flops in a multi way spot like this are not good. I would even have issue with a 9 or T on a flop as villain can flat call 99 and TT as as well.

Yes, I would play for set value mainly. On any board with an overcard I would fold to a bet on the flop. If you have an overpair on the flop, you could call 1 bet and give up to further aggression.
In my experience people on 10nl dont call 4bets that often, they shove or they fold mostly. And if you dont want to call a shove, the 4bet is mainly a bluff.
