If he is fish I would give his flop lead some credit. By raising you might get some reversed implied odds. He also gives you great pot odds so calling with flush draw equity is totally fine imho. Same goes for T where you even pick up showdown value. River is a fold.

Postflop well played for me. Question is whether it is necessary to isolate such a fish with speculative hand.

I like the iso on the BTN. You can fold, but 97s plays very well postflop and you have position. Never limp behind though.
I'd play the same. Small ball approach. River is meh, but I don't think he bets A high's, K high's that have showdown value for an overbet, at least it doesn't make much sense.
Raise/fold OTF is not great because you blow your equity away. I know you have the range advantage, the overpairs and stuff, but this is a fish who doesn't understand that.

You should always consider a minbet as a check

Always!! Bet sizing is a very important part of the game, minibets give you more room to call or raise without commiting your stack.

Usually micro fishes uses minibet so they can see the next card cheaper, that means weak pairs and draws so if you have even a midvalue hand MOST of times raising for value will be a +EV play. If you have draws you can simply call cheap or semibluff raise too.
