SB had been on passive side preflop. BU also really tight. I open, SB 3bet and I call.

SB check and we hit top pair and gutshot. Just wondering if this is spot where we want to put pressure on villain overpair type hands or just check and see if we improve? If we had fd it would be easy bet. Probably also on rainbow flop but not sure about this.

I'd say check this flop , but in reality I don't think in this spot that betting is terrible either.

The reason I´d check here too is we do block his drawing hands a little with the T♣:. The gutshot we have gives us that amount of mediocre but not good Equity against his c-range, we can realize it better by a check-back, if he calls, he is more likely to do it with a flush or straightdraw, that actually dominates our weak pair/draw type of hand. If we had no gutshot but a :diamond: bdfd, I´d be argumenting the same. But if we have both side components, our hands get somewhat stronger so I would bet to build the pot since more turn-cards will improve our hand if we get called.
