interesting
so we cant get more than the sack of the sb? I think sb cant close the betting if initial size is bigger as his stack. the betting is just close if he puts in the biggest bet pre.
Yes for betting to reopen for someone already acted there has to be raise that is at least same than previous one. In this case we minraise to 2bb so BB shove has to be to 3bb or more. If we open raise to 3bb it has to be 5bb or more.
If we limped, SB completes and BB raises it would offer chance to 3bet.
Thanks guys for dropping by! ![]()
(Yay we made it to page 2 :f_cool:)
As @Ghaleon points at - theres no sizing that would reopen betting in that hand (since shorty has 2,67bb to his name).
@Maniac I do agree, that the hands posted in here are quite standard hands. After a few posts of me whining about running bad, i thought it was about time to show, that i can be lucky too ![]()
@naDanje
12 tbls i my max atm. I keep registering for new SNG's when i bust to keep count @12.
Plan is to increase tbl count, when i get more games / hours in (Back in the day i comfortably played 24-30 tbls simultaniously ![]()
Starting todays session now - 40 games is a must (hopefully i can get closer to 60)
/AlcopopDK
42 games tonight
+$2,26
Everything went my way in the first half of the session (midway through i was @+$9). From there it went downhill (quite literally when u look at my graph :f_mad:)
Bankroll is @ $72,34 - closing in on $75 that unlocks $1 games ![]()

Short session tonight:
29 games
+$5,56
Down spiraling graph from end of last session continued - did manage to turn it arround midway though.
Bankroll is @ $77,90 - im going for a mix between $0,50 and $1 games tomorrow ![]()
Will do a week 2 update tomorrow after my session - this week will be a little longer than a regular week - reason is i want to do my weekly updates on sundays from now on (might call it "week 2,5" :f_cool:)
Off topic: Super hyped for UFC 273 a little later - fingers crossed for the Scandis on the main card :f_thumbsup::f_thumbsup:

Sunday session done:
38 games
- $1,56
First time mixing in $1 games - actually won 4 buy ins - but lost $$$ wise... Didnt feel much difference between $0,50 and $1 games. ill keep going @ both stakes - hopefully my buy in graph and my $ graph will get along ![]()
Bankroll @ $76,34
Off topic: UFC 273 was gr8 - gr8 fights and resultwise the Scandis held up :f_thumbsup::f_thumbsup:

That graph brings back some memories - especially the moments where i went 13-15+ sngs in a row without a cash were tough(its been easy like 15 years since then and still freaking remember this more than any rungood sessions from that time o_O).... seems you had one of those in there and proceeded to go for a great recovery!
Mixing in fresh tables maybe good for this reason - i'd guess its not as obvious that you had this type of unlikely outcome mixed in when it happens?^^
From game ~70 to ~100 was a brutal run.
Luckily that run was split between two sessions (05-04 and 09-04) - Even though that ~30 game run was brutal, i managed to end both sessions in the green (which was gr8 for the mental aspect of my game :f_cool:)
Runs like that will happen (more often than I would like it to) - but getting out of these runs is what separates the god from the bad regs ![]()
/AlcopopDK
ye, i mean running bad is one thing - but when hitting like 13+ games without mincash it started to really go on my nerves(just by being so unlikely - today that probably is a bit diffrent in general, but back then people still really sucked at pkr ♦).
Didn't happen often, as it obv. should not ^^ but just saw a line in there that reminded me of those few occasions where it happend.
Time for reflection and planning ahead
I’m considering the first 2 and a half week as “off to a flying start” for this challenge. ![]()
The SNG playerpool @ the $0,50 level is a funny size…
The amount of regulars is sparse – from my experience most regulars will stay here for 500-1.000 games tops, since the achievable ROI is high.
That means the amount of recreationals is high – the number of unconventional plays surprises me on a daily basis.
Varriance is a thing (even taken the weaker opposition in consideration) – My experience is, that a solid tight approach to the early game and a basic shove/fold game will yield a positive outcome.
I’ve hit my first bankroll milestone of $75.
As of this Sunday, I've included the $1 games in my routine.
For now, I'm playing the following mix (in my 12 tbl setup):
3x $0,50 9man (turbo)
3x $0,50 45man (turbo)
3x $1 9man (turbo)
3x $1 45man (reg)
When Bankroll hits $100 I will exclude the $0,50 9man (turbo) games and go with 4x of the others.
I’ll keep that constellation until bankroll hits $150, where I’ll include $2 9man turbos (not sure yet, if I go back to 4 different games, or if I’ll replace the $0,50 45man games)
The variety is a bit bigger @ the $2 stake (9man turbo/reg, 18man, 45man, 180man) – as bankroll grows further, ill include more games to the routine.
Plan is to bring the challenge to an end @ the $2 games.
I’m in no hurry to end the challenge – my goal is to keep a steady progression in stakes + games played!
/AlcopopDK
nice planing ahead, i am currently a bit unsure when to head to from plo5 to plo10 - br wise i already could, but don't know if i am "there" yet, as there is still so many things to learn in the new format.
Your structure i like. especially putting in those 45man games should not increse variance too much, but binking those will let you make some nice leaps.
Got absolutely smashed today...
43 games
-$12,47
Those $1 games doesnt treat me well ![]()
Did open a chest for a $1 ticket and a $0,50 spin ticket. Managed to win the spin for $1.
That brings the total for the day to -$10,47

Going through last nights hands I stumbled upon these two beauties. Not rdy to give up yet :f_cool::f_cool:
Limp to induce:
The "limp to induce" is still used every now and then. In my humble opinion this guy should tighten he's range for that play by a wide margin ![]()

Sick that his second pair draw was not alive. Nothing one can do in setups like these.
It's time for an overdue update.
Missed out on the update on my wednesday games - It was rather late, and i was tilted from using up all my rungood in $0,50 games, while running like sh*t in the $1 games (this is the topic of the week i guess).
Did 37 games for at loss of $0,40
Did a longer session tonight: 55 games (profit of $3,57) solely on the $0,50 game. I will stay at those games for the upcoming week aswell, since it tilts me way harder than it should, that im getting smashed @ the $1 games.
Week 3 (11-04-2022 -> 17-04-2022)
Games played 135
Result: -$8,86

Was hyped for a week with a lot of days off (and therefore nights available for poker) - but a rough start made me slack in volume ![]()
While booking my first loosing week @ the tables, the variance smiled @ me in the Bankroll Challenger raffle of the week - apparently i saved up on the rungood to ship the 100$ (Lucky me :f_cool:)
Bankroll stands @ $169,04 ($100 of which is in my TAF balance atm - will move it over to Pokerstars)
Threadsaver is my setup (picture taken during my wednesday session):

@Fredjen - actually 12 tbls (doing 4 top, middle, bottom - 2 of them is just hidden on the pic). Monitor is 34" (curved). WAY overkill for my everyday needs, but its soo cool :f_cool::f_cool:

44 games - see results for yourself in the spoiler :f_cool::f_cool:

Even though this brings my confidence back (and then some), ill stay @ the $0,5 for the rest of the week as stated on Sunday. Unless i get doomswitched during the weekend, I'll be back @ $1 games next week (hopefully doing better than last time :f_drink:)
