This was interesting one. I was thinking villain might well be value betting that AT on turn and I should have some chance to get that to fold. Also blocking KK and QQ so most of time going to have at least some equity if getting called. Could also just 3bet flop as we are doing ok versus AT.

This guy being quite a non believer in this spot saved the session. Obviously should be snap fold preflop for villain. Flop call is good. Turn he has flush blocker but obviously if I have it he will be having at best 10% equity so... Probably not good idea to stack off.

Rough session again today. Have to check tomorrow but was just running really bad in big pots.

This one was nasty. MP open, SB call, I squeeze and get both to call.

Flop SB leads half pot. I decided to just call SPR 4 to see if we get blank turn. MP call behind.

Turn is not just blank but also giving me fd. SPR is 1.5, SB pots, I shove and MP folds. Was bit ahead in equity.

In this CO open, BU call, I squeeze and both call. Flop went for half pot cbet and both call. I didnt love turn as 54 complete but I had like 0.8 SPR at this point so went for shove. CO fold and BU has quite garbage that managed to hit. Solver wise this combo seems to be check on flop.

This is pretty standard also preflop. Could probably call as well. Flop I went with pot cbet. Turn was not nice so I was just going to x-f. But when river paired the board I thought I would get enough better to fold like AK or maybe T8 straight. Even getting AQT to fold would be good. But yeah villain had hit perfectly.

Spoiler

Open CO, BU and BB call. Flop went for cbet. Solver would check but thing is BU is supposed to stab flop 45% of time. I doubt that happens in 3way pot so I dont mind to just cbet. Versus BU half pot stab this combo would just x-c but if BB also call then x-r.

Anyway turn is blank (not this time), I happily pot and get shoved on. Really dirty turn as obviously if flush complete I will check back and likely just fold river unimproved. My hand would be also blocking straight draws.

This was hand that probably gave me some image to get calls later on. Open CO (very borderline open), BU and SB call. Cbet flop 1/2 pot and both call. Should probably reject my triple barrel plan after both villains continued but I dont hate it either way. Blocking K and having pocket is pretty nice as I block KK and have often equity with both K and JJ. Barrel turn 2/3 pot, both call again and shove river for 3/4 pot. Well K8 not folding but both villains seemed reasonable players so I think I can get at least trips and straights to fold mostly.

Open MP, BU, SB and BB call. Decided to check flop though I think mostly I should cbet. I think I had read on BU that he had been betting very merged and not folding so I thought he might bet here too often with two pairs and such. Also I probably thought that my MP range is rarely happy of this flop but 4way it doesnt really matter much. Anyway got x-r in on flop and shoved turn. Villain hitting his 10% though, meh. Understandable hand to bet from BU blocking J9 and having two pair.

Variance not on my side last few days. I mean when you keep losing on tables like this... I had folded probably like 20 hands in row being totally card dead.

Had wings and some vegetable pieces at same time in fryer (wings on top). Not sure if that was good idea. Had settings on 180c and 20 minutes. Wings came out ok. Kind of juicier that would have been in oven but vegetables didnt really get soft enough yet. Those were kind of big pieces partially though which might have been issue. Interested to see if frost french fries get more crispy in this one. Dont usually cut my own fries though.

Just cut fresh potatoes and put them in with a drop of olive oil. The first time might get some time to get used to the new flavor and texture but after a while you don't want anything else. And it's so much more healthy then deep fried or frost fries.

Got really skrewed yesterday when someone decided to get crazy preflop. Like this guy just 3bet-5bet MPvsEP 220bb deep in plo25. Nasty as this flop I could have just x-f on case he called my 4bet. SPR would still be close to 2.

This was interesting spot. I 3bet from CO versus MP open and cbet half pot and stack off versus raise. Stack off is fine in solver as well but my combo with nfd blocker would prefer check. AA87 is pretty much 50/50 on check/bet. If having fd its pure bet. AAJ8 though would check only 15% and AAQJ around 30%.

After checking flop it seems to approach spot more for AA showdown value even if flush complete. Also oesd still having some value. Going for 1/3 pot bet as value/protection on turn like 3♣:. One thing to note though is that on that flushing turn card MP is only using 1/3 bet size if betting. I think in reality pool will approach spot very polarized and use bigger sizing like 1/2-1 pot. But its interesting to see how solver bets 1/3 sizing including ton of sets, two pairs and one pair holdings. That make sense I suppose as after flop check CO range is somewhat capped and there are lot of protection hands like sets and 2 pairs could have use for even when flush complete.

So then I asked myself how are straight draws supposed to play in CO shoes. Flop is one which connect often to MP range and is two toned. So we should not be super excited with hand like QJxx or even KQJx. I filtered straight draws without fd and with fd.

Without fd:

With fd:

So we can see there is lot of checking with sd hands. Plus lot of combo draws that check are actually monsters that are checking to protect range. Probably going for some turn raises as semibluff as well.

Overall range in CO shoes looks like this:

So we are also supposed to check 40% of our two pairs and sets. Without looking them more accurately its probably the polarized approach. So two pairs and sets with absolutely best and worst support are checking. Best ones block so much of villain continuing range and worst ones can actually benefit from some equity shift and will protect check range. So that when turn is 2♥: we can actually shove over villain turn probe bet for value. Well anyway will now do some training on this spot.

Interesting concept I run into moment ago in mastermind content which is lead betting top pairing card. So in this case we are BUvsBB single raised pot. BU has cbet flop and turn pairs the board. My strategy has been to automatically check always on pairing card which on this example would be gto line on mid or bottom card pairing. But when top card pair we are theory wise supposed to have range advantage as BB player. Issue though in reality for this assumption could be too merged cbetting range from BU at least in small stakes.

Also I have been pretty frequently barreling top pairing card in BU shoes but I think that is bad idea. Also because most in BB shoes play by checking lot as well. Solver wise BU should double barrel half pot 45% but if BB has no leading range that can drop as low as 30%. If turn was 4♥: BU would barrel 3/4 pot 60% of time even though BB has no leading range. Interesting point that has skipped my mind completely.

Well there are likely ton of points like this that I have never even thought out there :)

Seems like I played this one exactly as solver would have on flop at least. So preflop standard squeeze. Flop I went for check with plan to fold if both villains put money in. When BU potted I just called to fold if flush complete and villain bet. Not sure if I should potentially donk bet turn but yeah I dont think folding is good with those pot odds.

Played today with one PLO100 and 2-3 PLO50 tables mostly. Had this awesome flop in PLO100 table:

MP open limp. I iso raise, BB call, MP 3bet and we both call. Flop MP cbet around 60% and I just called hoping high VPIP BB would have something. Turn last money went into middle. If MP open raised I think I would have called being on BU. 3bet is not absurd option either though.

This one was interesting on flop. I thought its pretty nice hand to slowplay as I block so much from villains ranges and there is almost no turn where I would not be happy to stack off.

My hand is solver wise x-r. Sort of interesting thing is that basically all hands that have nfd and 2 pair or set are checking:

When we check BU is supposed to bet around 30% and hand BU had this time is supposed to be check. If BU bets half pot he is supposed to have some folds:

Main portion of bet-folds come from pair blocker + flush blocker combos. Probably ones which have less chance to improve are used mostly. Issue in taking check line in BB shoes is of course on whatever BU will do these type of bet-folds. I dont think most will in 3way pot but then again they might bet-call too wide and that will then help check line for trap hands.

Did some tree felling today and then used too much insulin for lunch. Went for walk but luckily for short one as it required quite a focus on last 500m to walk somewhat straight.

So as reminder to myself:
- Think more accurately amount of carbs
- Check that blood sugar before exercise
- Might not be bad idea to keep some snacks on walk

Probably not going to play poker today as I tend to get this fuzzy mind after very low blood sugar. But some studying will be fine or Netflix...

Too wide open raise in last hand of the session. Though not necessarily horrible as table had been passive overall. Though BU was more aggro on very small sample and CO just joined. But other three had been very passive.

Flop is actually interesting one. It felt good hand to cbet because I unblock board pairs and fd so ton of hands that can give value. I did think about check line but I wasnt really sure if I want to then x-r or x-c. Solver wise this combo (in COvsBUvsBB) would be 30% cbet. When it checks it would x-c if BU bet and BB fold but x-r if BB call. I was also bit deeper versus BU and I think that will probably make hand even more of x-c if checking.

I do have JJ which will make spot where I get freerolled less likely but main issue of x-r flop is still that we might isolate ourself versus range that dry sort of straight is not doing that hot against.

Turn I went tiny bit below pot so that if BU call and BB shove I can then iso shove. Make BU spot lot tougher with that risk. On river pretty good card but villain does donk bet and reps AK. Not folding with that sort of SPR plus I think my hand is pretty good one to call from KJ combos as I have no diamond at all.

I would have probably folded on every point in villain shoes. Not defending pre with triple suit version. Flop call looks potentially easy but I think its probably best to fold. Main issue is ranges he is facing. BU will have lot of QT, QQ, TT and of course my range could very well have some straight with set or two pair. Plus some AJTT+nfd type. So even with his bdfd its probably fold. Turn is fold again because sometimes his boat outs are not alive. River lead shove is brave move but SPR being that low its tough to get straight to fold. Which is big issue as huuuuge portion of my range has K high straight. Also hand I could have been semibluffing like AAKQ+nfd improves.

i know its one of the important basic rules that never draw with bottom set but thought might been maybe okish call on the flop for that price mw^^
but you are probably right that fold is best. even pure j99 would fold here f.e. his a996ts too. also bad for red line keep calling in that spots.
as played its interesting calling turn pot and then shove in the range which would pot here most likely. if he wants to get it in then on which card when not a blank deuce but of course should fold against the pot bet
