Hi guys..

I want to share you this stupid story of mine that really made me cry:

I was playing 8am-10 and got my bankroll to $15 in playing $.02/$.04 blinds. I left the house with my laptop on to have lunch with my friends at 12pm. As I came back home around 2pm I enter to a $.02/$.04 blinds and notice that I have only $2 left!

So I went to my brother's room and here's are conversation:

Me: You went to my room after I left?

Bro: Yes, I was looking for my iPhone's charger do you have it?

Me: Yes I have it, it's under my bed. You touch my laptop?

Bro: Yep!

Me: Argh! You played poker in my laptop?!

Bro: Yeah! Lose few buy ins so what the big deal? You can always do rebuys.

Me: (*Tears in my eyes) It's a real cash kuya (big brother in Tagalog)

Bro: Weeeh? It looks like Triple Jack to me, nice graphics though

Me: (*Tears running down my face) I was trying to make my money to $50 this month and you played it and you lose it all!

Bro: (*kuya screaming at me) What's the big deal milli?!

Me: (*screaming) I hate you so much kuya

Then I left the room crying for about 20mins.

So that's my big story for today, and I really hate my kuya today. Argh!

Hi SweetCamil.

You need to keep your brother under better control, at least he left you $2 to work up from.

can I call you Lolo? Lolo is a "granda" in Tagalog, I really love to have a Lolo since I was young

Wow :f_cool: Never been asked that before, I am honoured!

Keep up the hard work and good luck.

NakiMan, Lolo _biggrin:

Hi kenthmp

I already accept your friend request, thanks for the add!

Anyway, with my $2 left, I played at $.05/$.10 blind and played the SSS. Also I played as a trapper. Here's some of my sweet winnings

Hi guys =)

It's like entering a needle's eye to join the 9 table for the $.02/$.04 blinds so I play SnG.

This is my first time to play SnG in Online Poker. So the first one is the $1+.10 6 seats, got on the third place bad thing there's only two place for the awards.

Next is the $1+.15 10 seats, I got a chance to place on the 3rd place also so won $1. Wow big win! :O

Next is the $1+.25 30 seats SnG, the tournament is still not over, but I'm in the final table! :f_biggrin:

Just want to show this hand I got, I'm following the SnG before the flop play.

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K, K
1 fold, Hero bets $550, 2 folds, CO raises to $1925 (All-In), 3 folds, Hero calls $1375 (All-In)

Flop: ($4000) 9, 7, 10 (2 players, 5 all-in)

Turn: ($4000) 8 (2 players, 5 all-in)

River: ($4000) 3 (2 players, 5 all-in)

hose***4: shows [Ah As]
SweetCamil: shows [Ks Kc]

Total pot: $4000

Right now there are only 6 players left, and waiting the other one to be bust out of the game to receive the minimum reward. I'm currently the lowest stack in the table, but I really love to be in the first place since I'm in the final table already.

Alright, I'm not done typing here and I lose over a two pair and the donkey call with his flush draw! No price =(

SweetCamil.

BRM

Short handed BSS at NL40 with $24?

This is why we have BRM because variance almost always wins no matter who you are.

I hope you continue to study and play and more importantly, when you do, that you apply what you learn and don't think you will be okay because you are better/luckier/trickier than anyone else. Variance is unavoidable and potentially terminal. I hope you get past this and go on to become a stronger player.

Good luck mate!

Hi Waiboy

I think there's some mistake, I don't play in $.40BB and there's no $.40BB table blinds, that's $.04.

By the way, my account is under bankroll management so I can' play any table exceeding $.10.

Lot's of love

That's some relief! But it says 5 handed - is that correct? If so, you've just added (as a conservative guess) about 25% to the amount of variance you can expect.

Those beats are horrible, don't mistake my intentions, but unless you really get your head around the absolute need to minimise the variance you can expect then you will continue to have problems... not only short term, but for the rest of your poker playing lifetime!

I don't mean to offend but it is such an important lesson and often I would just ignore someone who seems to not to appreciate such an important concept, but I guess I'm just hoping you can switch on to the idea and go from strength to strength. :f_love:

Your only real option with the bankroll you've landed on is to play SSS (which is only playable full ring) on minimum micro tables available. Anything else gives you an improbable, if not impossible task.

In any case, very best of luck!

Hi Camille.

Listen to Waiboy (he sometimes knows what he is talking about), SSS at micro limits is hard work but the only way to build from where you are now.

:f_cool:

Lolo

After getting broke I asked my boyfriend to give me $200 to start over. He taught me many things and told me that in SSS you should play at least 4 tables in order to win big etc etc.

I have a deal with Kenthmp to make my $200 to $500 in two weeks time. If I haven't reach the $500 mark until August 14, 2009 11:59pm I'll give him $200. If I reach the $500 mark he will give me his bankroll worth $124 and quit poker.

Though I don't want him to quit playing poker, but the $124 is a good deal! So which me luck guys

I'll post a ScreenShot of my account from the moment I open my account until I stop playing. I'll start tomorrow

Hi Lolo!

Yep, my boyfriend taught me stuff about playing short hand, he told me that there's a lot of variance when playing in a table with 8 players, what more with only 5 or 4. That's why I've chosen party poker because of the traffic, I can see many micro limit with 9 players that I can join easily.

Lolo wish me luck! I entered a deal and I don't know what I was doing! Hahaha though I made a deal so I'll try to make it happen *fingers crossed

I played nine $.05/.10 blind tables using SSS and a $3 1-tabled SnG. After playing for about 4 hours.

Here's the result

Profit: +46.93

Bankroll: $246.93

Hey guys!

Just an update, been playing for 2 hrs straight. Grinding at the $.05/.10 blinds with 10 tables at once. I got few downswing and realize I can't handle 10 tables so I reduce it to 8 table and moved up to $.10/.25 blinds after I reached the $250 bankroll. I didn't play SnG today but it's a good upswing in my bankroll.

Profit: +106.30

Bankroll: 353.23

edit: I played 2hrs with the downswing + 1hr cool down +7hrs grinding again all in all its 10hrs.

Lunch break!

I've been playing for 5 hrs straight and grinding at $.10/25 blinds with 12 tables. I'll be out for a while and have a lunch with my friends :) I'm now at $431 in my bankroll so I'm going to move at $.25/.50 blinds later.

I'll turn off my laptop for a while so my kuya won't play my account.

I can smell $124 kenthmp =))

Kenthmp it's easy to win money if you have a big bankroll since I started at $.05/$.10 not in $.01/$.02, I think the deal should be turning the $200 to $1000 in two weeks :)

Anyway the deal has been made =))
