basically what I am saying is why should only high stakes tournies have decent blind levels etc.

Because there aren't enough people who would like to play a tournament which lasts several days (like WSOP) only to win $40 at finale table (micro-level buy-ins).
You can look for tournaments labelled as "Deep stack". Those have 5000 starting chips and 30 minute blind levels (at Pokerstars). I know it's not WSOP, but you play more hands per hour online, so you can play deep enough in these I believe.

There are no winning strategies for BlackJack where cards are shuffled after every hand (like it's done online from what I heard).
There are systems which let you win 90 % of the time (or more) by changing your bet size but then when you loose you loose much more (like Martingale and some variations). In the long run these strategies are loosing.

I hear what you say tnx, I would just like to mention most of the $1 MTT's at PS etc those without rebuys have 1st prizes generaly of $500 and more

10 min to read this thread (without popcorn :(), but nothing is a waste of time when you learn something about people.

tmannie, just quit playing poker (I am just curious, when you will quit?). It is not a game for you, and it seems you found a system/strategy for making easy money in a fast way.

I visualize you playing every night at home with all that cash all around you while listening "Money" by Pink Floyd, that's super cool _cool:

Good luck! you will need it more than we do

see ya

You are obviously a sarcastic little jerk , I however have the hand histories to support what I say. And in fact I do make way more money at black jack
than poker . And besides I have won a few tournies and cashed many times , this however does'nt alter the fact that poker is heavily dependant on luck , keeping in mind tha luck comes in many forms. Skill and study only helps one upto a point. The only reason I play poker is because I enjoy tournies , its as simple as that.

Easy solution.
Play BJ.

People like you put me on life time tilt.

Nothing against new players and them trying to learn the game.. but ffs.. I hate stuff like what you wrote.

Play me HU right now... I show you luck... grrr...

Aren't you supposed to like... not tilt when you play HU?

I cant imagine why , whether you hate what I wrote or not does'nt alter the facts as evident in my handhistories and like I said I generaly play as close as I can to the book , I dont like those facts either but they exist and I can prove it with my hand histories

Please oh please enlighten me then how I can be winning with 100k+ hand sample size???

I made 100$ today alone... how is that even possible?

this guy is amazing!
I have never read so many posts from one person digging a bigger and bigger hole!

He is prob the guy i played last night who said he reported me to pokerstars because i beat his KK with 67s. He said i knew what cards were coming! lmao

To" the brood" I am happy to take you on any time you like.
Lets choose say any guaranteed 2 or 3 thou $ MTT on PS at a time acceptable to both of us. I am quite certain in my mind that you will be knocked out long before me , and if you wish to increase the size of the sample to say 5 -10 such tournies I am happy to accommodate you. But remember your results have to be accompanied by those emails from PS that congratulate you and state your final position and how much you won and tourney points you earned etc. I dont know if you know what they look like yet.
Whenever you are ready my man.

Why would you challenge TheBrood? O_o
Dragar wanted to play you HU not TheBrood.

MTT's are heavily dependant on luck and you need HUGE samples to say something, play cash.

"increase the size of the sample to say 5 -10 such tournies"

because 10 MTTs is a huge sample size, and it isn't about 99.95% blind luck who wins this little contest

lol tmannie... You haven't taken on board a single thing that loads of proven long term winning players have said to you! Your argument is based on your hand histories... How many hands are included in this history? Less than 100K? Probably... If so? You're talking absolute cod shite.

i also have a few Blackjack strategy to make yo aa "winning" player
1. dont record your losses
2. BJ 4 ROLLZ (works 49% of the time)
3. play, lets say... 20 hands, and then cashout (works 49% of the time)

:f_grin:

really, how many hands of BJ - poker have you played?

in BJ you will always lose, i guarantee, you will always lose in the long run (100k hands)

on poker, if you play 100k hands, and you are still losing, then maybe you suck...
but get used to variance and 20bi swings.

but however if you continue with BJ, then 600 x 6 x 6 x 6 x 6 x 6 = LOTZ OF CAZH
so good luck with that...

POPCORN!!!!!

To address your post seriously for a moment.

I think the bolded phrase above is the main reason you are facing a level of derision in the replies to this thread. To suggest poker is heavily dependent on luck and that blackjack isn't won't get any enthusiastic agreement here.

I assume you've read the strategy articles. If so, you will appreciate that if you consistently get your money into a pot with an equity advantage you will win in the long term.

In blackjack, you have no equity advantage... at best, if you play perfectly, you get close to a split.

Besides, comparing MTTs to blackjack is a poor comparison.. comparing MTTs to a blackjack tournament is a more relevant measure.

With an MTT you can win 99% of your hands and make no money, with blackjack, because each hand has it's own result, if you win 99% of your hands you make money.

To adequately compare returns you would need to play as many MTTs as hands in blackjack.

Can I suggest you switch to NLHE cash games and study, firstly, SSS then BSS. Then come back after 20 - 30k hands and let us know how you got on.

Good luck.

This is so much fun!!

First time I've seen someone say: "Play me HU right now..."

And gets "Lets choose say any guaranteed" as a reply! lol
And the reply was to the wrong person as well!! LOL!!

"I am quite certain in my mind that you will be knocked out long before me"... And what does this prove exactly?

Dude... I think I'm gonna save my breath (actually my fingertips) here. I think there's already been a lot of sarcasm already.

But I wouldn't mind playing you HU either. _pleased:

Wouldn't it be funny if it was the online casinos themselves that released these BlackJack "strategies" themselves to suck people into long-term gambling. Good on 'em I say.

Ohh this is a lot of fun.

Just to get back to his brilliant idea to set up a site to play deep stack tourneys..

On PS there is a tournament with a bi of $11. this one lasted (last i looked. for 11 hrs and still there were 20 players left. the people knocked out at that stage got around $40
That means 10 hrs work for 30 if you managed to last that long..

I myself love these tournaments in the beginning as you CAN and SHOULD outdraw AA with you 67s as you have enough BB left to try and hit a flop.

Just my 2c worth... and i am willing to risk those heads up too
